We believe that the Old and New Testament are two parts of one book. The O.T.
contains the Torah (instructions/law/commandments) of our Creator, and the N.T.
teaches us how to apply many of those instructions the way they were originally
intended, rather than 'changes' or 'does away' with them. The Old Testament was
not 'done away with' and the New Testament does not 'replace' the Old. They
work together to help us understand and live within Yahuwah's (God's real name)
will.
We will soon have teachings on this site with all of the Scriptures laid out for you. We don't teach anything that is not Scriptural. The Word of Yahuwah is the source of all truth!
We believe that Yahushuwa (the REAL name of 'Jesus') Ha Mashiach (which means
'the Messiah') is the anointed one, Yahuwah manifested in the flesh, conceived
by the Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit), and born of a virgin, died at
Calvary, shed His blood as man's substitutionary sacrifice, rose bodily, and
ascended to heaven. He is presently exalted at Yahuwah's right hand.
We believe that only by repentance (which means a change of heart and to turn
around and go the other way - forsaking sin) and by faith in Yahushuwa's
sacrificial death, and confessing Him as our Messiah, can both Jew and Gentile
be cleansed of our sins and reconciled to Yahuwah and be given the free gift of
eternal life. We believe that once we receive this free gift cleansing of our
sins, we must strive to not live in sin anymore. The Bible says that sin is
transgression of Yah's law, so that means we must strive to live according to
His laws and precepts. We cannot willingly and knowingly continue to live in
the sin (violate His laws) that we got cleansed of, or we will face Yah's
judgment and will not end up with eternal life. This is NOT salvation by
'works' - this is walking out our salvation daily in utter respect and
reverence for Yah. The Bible says he who willingly sins (violates Yah's laws)
after having the knowledge of the truth has no more sacrifice remaining for his
sins and faces the judgment of Yah. We believe that salvation is ultimately a
'process', beginning at the altar, but finalizing when we 'endure to the end',
as the Bible says that those who endure to the end WILL BE (future tense)
saved. We believe that when a 'Gentile' becomes a believer, he is adopted into
the family of Yah, thus becoming a Jew by adoption, and as all adoptive
children are expected to obey their parents rules as well as get the benefits
of the family, so are we. There are no 'Jewish' holidays and 'christian'
holidays - there are Yahuwah's holy days and they are for ALL of His children.
But neither a Jew or Gentile will receive eternal life unless they get
born-again by repenting of their sins and receiving Yahushuwa as their Messiah
for the cleansing of their sins.
We believe it's very important to use the correct names of the Father and Son,
rather than the man-made names of 'God' and 'Jesus'. The correct names are
Yahuwah (also spelled Yahuah) and Yahushuwa (also spelled Yahushua or Yahushuwah). Yahuwah means 'I am' and Yahushuwa means 'Salvation in
I am'. 'Yah' is short for 'Yahuwah'. The name 'Jesus', which was created by the catholics, and came from
Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English, actually means 'hail zeus' in Greek, and sus means 'pig' in Latin! And
'God' is a word used to REPLACE the actual name (YHWH - pronounced Yahuwah)
that is in the original Scriptures almost 7,000 times, because 'man' didn't
want Yah's actual name known nor spoken.
The Commandments or Law Holiness and the Law
We believe that Yahushuwa did not come to destroy or do away with the law, but
to fulfill it, which means to teach us how to obey it correctly, rather than
the way the Pharisees teach it. We do not believe we are supposed to bring
animal sacrifices to the temple for a priest to sacrifice on our behalf.
Yahushuwa became our High Priest, the ultimate once and for all sacrifice for
our sins, and Yahuwah had the veil in the temple ripped in half to let us know
we no longer need to be separated from His presence, but now can come boldly to
the Most Holy Place and be in Yah's presence through Yahushuwa.
We believe that the commandment to keep the 7th day Sabbath holy is still in
effect, along with the commandments to keep Yah's feast days (or holy days),
often called 'Jewish holidays'. There are several that are commanded for us to
keep, such as Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Firstfruits,
Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles.
There are other feast days that are not commanded, and we can keep them if we
want to, but we are not required to, such as Purim.
We believe that we are to obey the dietary laws outlined in the Old Testament
book of Leviticus. For example, we are not to eat pork, shellfish, catfish,
birds of prey, fish that don't have fins and scales, animals that don't both
chew the cud and have cloven hooves, animals with paws, snakes, etc. The Bible
says that in the last days Yahuwah will judge those who eat swine's flesh.
Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit)
Ruach ha Kodesh is the Hebrew description for the Holy Spirit. Ruach means
Spirit, ha means 'the', and Kodesh means 'holy'. We believe the Ruach Ha Kodesh
is God and is the source and power of all acceptable worship and service. He is
our Comforter and Helper, empowers us to obey Yahuwah's commandments, living godly
lives, and empowers us for the exercise of all biblical gifts, including
healing the sick, raising the dead, speaking in tongues, discerning spirits,
gifts of knowledge, etc.
We believe that Yahushuwa will be returning soon as King and in the meantime
we are put on the earth to do God's will to the best of our ability and in line
with our specific calling as promoted by the Holy Spirit. We believe we are
only a few years away from the reign of the anti-Messiah (anti-christ), and Yahushuwa's
return to rescue us and begin a thousand year millennium where He will rule and
there will be peace.
We believe in the worship of Yahuwah through singing, clapping, lifting of
hands, and godly dancing as led by the Holy Spirit. We believe that worship is
actually a form of warfare and helps to defeat the enemy, and is also that
which Yahuwah inhabits our praises, so it helps us get into His presence and
power, and prepares us to receive His word taught and be able to apply it to
our lives.
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in obedience to the Word of Yahuwah. All those who have accepted Yahushuwa as their personal savior should be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Him.
Our Commitment To Israel
We believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 ("And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.") regarding the Jewish people and the Nation of Israel. We believe that this is an eternal covenant between Yahuwah and the seed of Abraham to which God is faithful. And as born-again covenant keeping believers, we are part of Israel as well.
