Labor Day
"Labor Day is a celebration of the creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Labor Day was promoted by the labor unions as a holiday to give working people an additional day of rest. Labor Day is a U.S. national holiday held the first Monday every September."
