Halloween Soup - The Devil's Year-Round Recipe for Oppression - DON'T EAT IT! - by Jennifer Lang

I started this book close to 30 years ago, worked on it for about 10 years, set it down for about 17 years, started up again in the last 3 years, updated parts of it and tweaked it, and now I'm going to finish it before this Halloween 2022. (Update: It's 2023 and it's finished!)

Many of the books, shows, songs, toys, etc., that I talk about are from a long time ago, but many are still entertaining people as well, and either way, they are as examples of the many things out there, past and present, that believers should avoid.

Halloween Soup gives a brief history of where Halloween practices began (starting with idol worship in the Old Testament days) and how they evolved into the celebrations we have today.

It then goes through many different subjects associated with Halloween (Jack-o-lanterns, parties and revelry, divination games, costumes, trick-or-treating, mischief and pranks, bonfires and murders, sacrifices, death and fear, skeletons, haunted houses, fairies, werewolves, vampires, zombies, witch cats, owls used for evil purposes, witch bats, necromancy, occult toys, occult and inappropriate entertainment, literature and movies, etc.) It gives specific information about them from 'past' to 'present', and how they are used year-round, not just on Halloween.

You or your children may have open doors for spiritual attacks because of the things you entertain yourselves with throughout the year, and you may not even know it. You may have occult books on your book shelves, occult items in your home, occult toys in the toy box, music that calls forth demons when it is played, or you may be watching shows that invite these spirits into your home. Halloween Soup explains how these things can harm your family spiritually, physically, and mentally, and you will learn how to get set free from the affects of these things through the power of the Blood of our Messiah, Yahushuwa.

I tell of many experiences that others and I have had in these subject matters, either personally or by counseling others who have had them. Don't read this book if you have a weak stomach! Some of the stories are not pleasant, and many are hard to believe, but I promise that all information about my family and myself are genuine and not exaggerated. I have confidence that the stories of our close friends, family members, and pastors who we have met, are true. I cannot verify if the historical stories are true or not, but based on personal experience and on what the Bible says, they could very possibly be true. You form your own opinion on those!

Even if you just want to understand why many Christians hate Halloween so much or why they shy away from so many areas of the 'entertainment' industry, so that you know where they are coming from, then this book will answer a lot of questions for you.

You can read the whole book online if you want to. Please don't copy it though.

Each chapter opens up in a new window, so when you finish it, just close the window and you'll come back to this page where you can click on the next chapter.
