CHAPTER NINE:
1: MAKE SURE YOU ARE BORN-AGAIN:
Without Yahushuwa in our lives, we are dead in sin. Death is separation from Yahuwah, and if we die physically while separated from Yahuwah we will end up in the haunted house, called hell, that I mentioned earlier. Our life comes from the Blood of Yahushuwa that washes away our sins. Why does it take blood to atone for sin? Because Yahuwah wants it that way. He is the Creator and that is how He chose to do it.
Leviticus. 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
Hebrews 10:19-20 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Yahushuwa, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.”
1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yahushuwa the Messiah his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
John 14:6 “Yahushuwa saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
1 John 4:9 “In this was manifested the love of Yahuwah toward us, because that Yahuwah sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”

10:9-10
“That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Yahushuwa, and shalt believe in
thine heart that Yahuwah hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.”
There is only one way to be born-again. That is by confessing our sins and repenting (turning away from them) and receiving Yahushuwa’s forgiveness, and receiving Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
As our Savior, we realize that He took the punishment (death – separation from Yahuwah) for our sins, by shedding His blood on the cross, and His blood cleanses us from all sin so that we do not have to be punished, and we receive His cleansing and forgiveness and thank Him for it.
As our Lord, we realize that He is to be ‘Lord’ (master, ruler) over us, meaning we are to die to our own sinful desires and come alive in Him, desiring Him and His ways instead of our own. When we die to our sinful desires, and come alive in His desires and ways, this is being born-again (spiritually) and changed into a ‘new creation’ (spiritually – because our physical bodies do not change, but our hearts change if we are ‘truly’ born-again.)
By this I mean that having an emotional experience at the altar where we repeat a ‘sinners’ prayer’ does not get us born-again unless we truly mean it and turn away from our sins to the best of our knowledge and ability at that point – we do not know everything instantly, so it takes some time to learn how to live right – our hearts must be willing to learn.
Being born-again is a life-changing
experience, not a few moments of tears at the altar. Most people weep and say a
prayer and then go home and continue to live the same way they did before,
sinning over and over, and expect to still have eternal life because their
pastors lie to them and tell them it doesn’t matter what they do – they have a
one way ticket to Heaven no matter what, but the Bible instructs us to go and sin
no more, and that needs to be a new believer’s goal. Make sure you have read the chapter about the Beautiful Mansion, which also talks about how to be born-again and make it to Heaven.
Romans 6:1-12 "What will we say then? Will we continue in sin that grace may abound? Let it not happen! How will we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or are you ignorant that as many of us as were immersed into the Anointed Yahushua were immersed into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through immersion into death that just as the Anointed was raised from the dead by the splendor of the Father even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also will be in the likeness of His resurrection. Knowing this, that our old man was impaled with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves of sin, for he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with the Anointed we believe that we will also live with Him, knowing that the Anointed, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all, but the life that He lives, He lives to Yahuwah. Likewise, you also reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin but alive to Yahuwah in the Anointed Yahushua, our Master. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you should obey it in its lusts."
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in the Anointed, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold! All things have become new."
He died for the ones in the world who would
receive Him, and those who do are to have a personal relationship with Him, And
to have a relationship with Him means we also obey His commandments (also
called laws, instructions, statutes or Torah), but this we are to work on ‘after’ we
give our lives to Him, as we study and learn how to live in His instructions.
I’m
going to repeat somethings I said in the Haunted House chapter, because they
are so important. The Bible actually says that he who endures to the end ‘will
be saved’ (future tense). When we get born-again, that is the beginning of our
salvation, but we are to work out our salvation in fear and trembling, and that is a daily process that
takes us to the end eventually, and that we should take very seriously.
Matthew 10:21-22 (Renewed Name Version) “Moreover brother will deliver brother to death and a father his child. And sons will rise up upon parents and cause them to be put to death and you will be hated by all through My name. Moreover he who endures into the end will be saved.”
Philippians
2:12-13
(Renewed Name Version) “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not
as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling, for it is Yahuwah who works in you both to
will and to do for His good pleasure.”

Mark
9:43-44
“And
if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life
maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never
shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not
quenched.”
The verse above talks bout a fire that will never be quenched, and the worm not dying.
Luke 12:5 “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

“And
it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into
Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift
up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in
his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send
Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue;
for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou
in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things:
but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between
us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from
hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my
father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they
also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses
and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if
one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If
they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though
one rose from the dead.”
2 Peter 2:4 “For if Yahuwah spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.”
The verses above indicate that there is a holding place (hell) where sinners will be until death and hell are thrown into the Lake of Fire.
Revelation 19:20 “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Matthew 13:41-42 “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 13:49-50 “So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
If someone tells you
there is another way to be saved, the Bible says they are cursed! Try to tell
them the truth about Yahushuwa so they can be saved, but if they refuse to
listen, do not let them convince you of their doctrine. Get away from them if
you need to.
Galatians 1:5-12 "To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Yahushuwa unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Yahushuwa. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or Yahuwah? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Yahushuwa. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yahushuwa the Messiah.”
Some of the greatest deceptions held by people who are not born again are listed below. If you are one who believes in these deceptions, they will take you to hell:
DECEPTION #1:
“There is no hell.”
Some people believe that when they die, they just die, and no longer exist. Others believe that everyone goes to a place of peace and rest, regardless of their religious beliefs. The late Pastor Billy Joe Daugherty, once said that to say there is no hell is just as ridiculous as saying that there are no prisons in Oklahoma. If one believes there are no prisons in Oklahoma, that does not change the fact that there are prisons in Oklahoma. Prisons are where they send criminals to be punished for their crimes, and so they can not commit crimes anymore. Hell is where people are punished for their sins.
DECEPTION #2:
“A loving God would not send anyone to hell.”
A loving God will not allow sinners into Heaven! Heaven is a place where there will be no sin, sorrow, disease, etc. Sorrow and disease was brought about by sin. Heaven would not be free of these things if sin was allowed there. Yahuwah is holy, and will not tolerate sin in Heaven. Sinners who have not been cleansed by Yahushuwa’s blood would continue to sin in Heaven.
DECEPTION #3:
“When people die, they are reincarnated in order to get another chance to improve themselves and ‘get it right’. They are given as many chances as they need.”
The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27-28 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Yahushuwa was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” The only chances you will have to ‘get it right’ will happen while you are living in this lifetime. There will be no other lifetimes. And the only ‘getting it right’ that you need to accomplish is to get born-again and follow that with obeying His commandments.
DECEPTION #4:
“Angels have told me about reincarnation, and have even told me that people choose to come back into various family situations, such as abuse, so they can learn about them through experiencing them.”
Galatians 1:8 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” These are not Yahuwah’s angels, but are demons who impersonate Yahuwah’s angels, so they can deceive people into thinking they do not need to be born-again. They often communicate through a channeler (one who gets information from a spirit source and passes it on to a receiver.) They call their victims “my precious one”, “little one”, and other ‘sweet sounding’ names, and talk very gently, to give the impression that they are either godly angels or ‘the ascended masters’ (those who have died and worked their way up to a ‘higher level’ of spirituality). They do not mind being nice to people, as long as this false kindness will deceive people into walking away from the truth and ending up in hell.
Here are some quotes from a New Age message board on the Internet. A channeler received these messages from various spirits, and posted them on the board so people could receive them and be deceived by them. These are actually messages from demons! I have put my comments in parenthesis:
“A MESSAGE FROM SANANDA
My beloveds. The time has come for ALL to unite in Love. We do not ask that you all work together, for you each have your separate ‘mission’ to perform. We do ask that you seek out those with whom you resonate to the highest vibration and join with them in fulfilling that which you promised to do before you entered this existence.”
(They teach that people’s spirits reincarnated into each new life by choice to fulfill a mission.)
“We ask that you honor those whose paths are not the same as yours, for there is a reason for all paths.”
(They teach that all religions are valid, and have a reason for existing, and that none is wrong, and all should be honored. However, they do not honor the Christians’ belief that Yahushuwa is the only way to get to the Father, as it is the one belief that directly opposes just about everything that they stand for. Some of them get very hostile towards Christians who state the truth and will not back down and ‘honor’ the false paths. They believe that Christians who take the Bible literally and believe in Heaven and hell, are on a low level of their reincarnation experience. They think these Christians have not matured as much as them and have a long way to go before they reach maturity!)
“Earth is now being showered with a most beautiful gift from Source. That gift is Unconditional Love.”
(They teach that God (Source) loves everyone unconditionally, and accepts them regardless of their beliefs. Although Yahuwah loves each of us and desires that we be saved, and meets us where we are initially, there is a condition to be met in order to have a relationship with Him and stay saved. That condition is that we must be born-again believers, saved by the Blood of Yahushuwa, and obey His commandments after we get born-again.)
“You have worked hard, and deserve this most powerful gift.”
(The Bible says we are saved by grace, not by works, lest any man should boast. No one can work hard enough to deserve anything from Yahuwah. It is after we receive His gift that we are to do the works.)
“It will assist you in your healing process as well as in your ascension process.”
(They teach that we can become ascended masters like them, through the process of reincarnation.)
“We ask that you assist us by anchoring this energy into the earth and use yourself as a channel to spread it throughout the world and out into the universe.”
(They not only want to deceive people into believing their lies, but they want those people to teach the lies to others.)
“It is a very simple process. Just imagine a magnificent white light, surrounded by a sheath of iridescent rainbow energies coming down through your crown, all the way down through your body and into the earth. Then image this beautiful energy swelling in your heart center and radiating out from your body in all directions.”
(This is the ‘power of the rainbow’ belief that I mentioned earlier. This energy comes from the power of demons entering their bodies.)
“Unconditional Love is the key to healing all wounds and creating miracles.”
(Notice that they are not teaching that Yahushuwa is the healer and miracle worker, but that ‘Love’ is. While love is extremely important, without Yahushuwa we do not have Yahuwah’s kind of love. We have human love, and that is nice, but only the love of Yahuwah is supernatural and can produce miracles. The Bible says if we have Yahushuwa we have Yahuwah, but if we do not have Yahushuwa, we do not even know Yahuwah. Those who reject Yahushuwa as their Lord and Savior do not have the love of Yahuwah in them. They are trying to heal and do miracles by their own power or the power of demonic spirits, instead of by the power of Yahuwah. This principle is taught in modern cartoons and movies, such as The Swan Princess. In this animated movie it is the love that a man and woman have for each other that overcomes the sorcerer’s spells and witchcraft. This is a lie.)
“Once you embrace it and allow it to absorb your entire being, you will be empowered to do all that you were meant to do. We are here for you . . . thousands of us. All you have to do is ask.”
(This imitation love that they want you to absorb so completely can lead to demon possession. They are here for you all right. Thousands of demons waiting for you to embrace them and allow them to absorb your entire being, and they want you to ask them in.)
“There are many challenges facing you now, but you have proven yourselves to be most courageous. It is very important that you remain on earth to assist in her dimensional shifts and to facilitate the ascension process for yourselves and others. If you have any questions of myself, Ashtar, Michael, Quan Yin, Sidharttha, St. Germaine or others, we are here to serve you. Our highest blessings, love and honor go out to each and every one of you. SANANDA”
(Do they not sound kind, loving, gentle, helpful and caring? They do not come with a calling card saying “Hi, we are demons who want to posses you and send you to hell! Please invite us in!” They disguise themselves as loving angels and deceive thousands of people.)
Here are responses from some of the listeners: “Thank you thank you for your beautiful words and being. I look forward to more! With love and fairies.” “As I read the message from SANANDA, I felt the energy of God/Universe flow through me and got ‘angel bumps’. Thanks.”
More messages from the spirit:
“Dearest Ones, Thank you so much for your loving words and support. I can feel the love energy flowing from each and every one of you. How wonderful it is to begin the day with your sweet messages dancing in my mind amidst pink and white clouds of love, compassion, commitment and camaraderie. Love truly abounds, and as the days proceed we will be able to feel this love grow in strength and volume within our heart centers.”
(Here, they show appreciation for the receiver so he/she will return for more. It makes the person feel important and loved. These people do not even know that these spirits hate them vehemently!)
“There may be times when you feel a pressure in your heart centers from the love that is now pouring in from Source. This may be due to the fact that in the past we were taught to protect ourselves from the negative energy of others by placing a shield around our bodies. When we do that, we prevent the love energy from radiating out. I have asked for guidance on this, and Michael would like to share this with you:”
(They do not want their victims to protect themselves from negative energy, but to be open and willing to receive what they have to give, which of course is disguised as ‘positive energy’.)
“MESSAGE FROM MICHAEL Good Morning beloved Spiritual Warriors. In the past, most of you were not awakened to your true potential. And so, we taught you to protect yourselves from negative energy by placing a field of White Light around you. NOW, with the gift of Unconditional Love that is streaming gently through you and into your earth, you have the ability to transmute all that is not from the Light.”
(They teach that people can protect themselves from negative or evil influences by ‘Unconditional Love’. The Bible says if we submit to Yahuwah and resist the devil, he will flee from us, but if we rebel against Yahuwah we are submitting to the devil, and he does not have to flee from us when we are following him.)
“Whenever you find yourselves in a position where you are surrounded by fear, anger, resentment or judgement, open up your hearts and visualize this Unconditional Love radiating out from you, like a pair of angelic wings, and embracing all who are within your energy field. Using your wonderful gift of visualization, see their darkness fading into the Light and envision their entire beings radiating with the love energy.”
(The Bible teaches us to trust Yahuwah rather than fear, to cease from anger, to repent of resentment and forgive others, and to pray for those who seek to harm us. It does not teach us to stand there and visualize them in the light. Although this is not altogether wrong, without repentance and prayer it is useless.)
“Know that you are not alone, and if you come across a soul whose energy is so filled with negative emotions that you feel you cannot handle the challenge alone, call on me and my Legion. We will be there to assist.”
(If you are familiar with Scriptures, this should alert you! They do not tell you to call on God, through Yahushuwa the Messiah, but on ‘me and my Legion’! Who is ‘me’?
This demon claims to be the archangel Michael! And who is his Legion? Well, the demon possessed man in Luke 8:30 found out who Legion was. “And Yahushuwa asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.” Mark 5:15 “And they come to Yahushuwa, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” The demons are ready to assist those who will allow them!)
“Perhaps it will help if I explain a little of how this works. Every one of you has within you what has been referred to as White Light Energy and Dark Energy. The Dark Energy has a purpose. Once it is balanced perfectly with the White Light Energy, you will discover that you have the courage and strength of a Spiritual Warrior to do battle against all that is not from the Light. By ‘battle’ we do not mean ‘war’ or ‘fighting’ or doing anything which will cause harm to another living entity. What you are combating is the ‘imbalance’ that exists because of thousands and thousands of years existing on the Third Dimension with only 2 strands of DNA and a veil which prevented you from ‘remembering’ who you truly are and what you are truly capable of doing.”
(They teach that both good and evil are necessary [without dark you will not notice the light], so they basically teach that there is no evil, but just imbalance. This theory is what the Yin Yang represents. The black stands for the Dark Energy and the white is the White Energy. The belief is that good and evil come from the same source. Yahuwah is not the author of evil. The Bible says that He is the light, and in Him is no darkness at all!)
“Now, understanding that ‘like’ attracts ‘like’, whenever you are surrounded with those who are radiating out negative energy, that part within you which is from the Dark Energy emerges to be with its own kind. And so, you find yourselves either feeling anger, fear, judgement or anxiety. The Dark Energy is not ‘evil’ or ‘bad’ when it is balanced with the Light. However, through the years, the Dark Energy has grown and multiplied to the point where much of it needs to be transmuted in order to create a cosmic balance. YOU have the ability to do this. You came to this lifetime with Unconditional Love, but because of the challenges you have created for yourself, your fears and other negative emotions began to grow and you found yourselves out of balance.”
(The Bible teaches that we do not have the ability to combat evil, except through the power in the Name of Yahushuwa. These demons teach that people have the ability to balance the cosmos. They teach that we were born with Unconditional Love, rather than born with sin natures. That is why the New Agers believe they just need to connect with the ‘Christ Conscience’ within them. They do not believe we need to be born-again, because they think we already have divinity in us, and just need to recognize that. And they teach that we created our own challenges and environments- [the abused child was abused because she wanted to be- before reincarnation she decided to be born into an abusive home!]- garbage!)
“With the Unconditional Love now coming to you from Source, you will find yourselves becoming more and more balanced each day. And so, dear ones, it is your job as Spiritual Warriors to radiate out this love and transmute that which is not in balance. Your participation is vital at this time. We need each and every one of you to do this work. We understand the difficulty this task presents. You are deeply loved and honored for accepting responsibility for performing this task. Oh, dear ones . . . you are each so unique and so special to us.”
(They want people to believe that they will be loved and honored if they obey them. They really bait the hook well.)
“We surround you with our love and guidance. You have only to ask for our assistance and we are there. Ariel and some of her fellow Light Workers have recently experienced the ‘cause and effect’ of another Light Worker, totally out of balance due to illness and being bombarded with Dark Energy, fully taking advantage of her ‘Free Will’. In this particular instance, the Light Worker was so out of balance and so filled with rage and fear that she would not accept the Unconditional Love that Ariel and her friends were offering. This is the result of living on the only planet of Free Choice. Do not be concerned with those who are not ready to accept your assistance and love. They are exactly where they contracted to be. There are many reasons why they have not yet been able to accept their Divinity. Honor them, for they have come into your lives to assist you in your own ascension process. Then, release them into the hands of God. Each soul on this planet has the right to choose whether they want to be totally in balance or not. And so, when you come across a being who will not accept the love energy and not allow the Darkness to be transmuted, honor their choice, but remove yourselves from their energy field any way you can. Place a field of Unconditional Love completely around your body by envisioning the ‘pink’ energy like a cloud all around you. State your intent that this energy prevents any Dark Energy from entering your field, but also continues to radiate out for all those who will accept.”
(First they said that the white light energy that supposedly protected them in the past also kept them from radiating love outward. So they changed the color to pink!)
“We hope that this information helps you as you continue on your path to raising your vibration to the Fifth Dimension and beyond. Your work on Earth is vital to the success of her ascension as well as yours and all who choose the ascension path. Once more, we would like to emphasize the importance of each of you remaining on Earth as the enlightened Ascended Masters you truly are in order to assist others who are just ‘awakening.’ If you have any questions or are in need of healing and balancing, we are here for you. However, because this is the only planet of Free Choice, please remember that we cannot interfere with your growth . . . you must ask. We hold you all in God’s Loving Light and are so filled with Joy that you have chosen to be on earth during these exciting and challenging times. We look forward to the Grand Celebration of Love once your path is completely unfolded to you.

I put these messages in here so you would understand some of the beliefs of the New Age movement, and how crafty the devil is in getting people to follow him. If you have been following these beliefs you MUST renounce them and get born-again, or you will spend eternity in hell. Here is one more message from ‘Sananda’, the spirit who supposedly is full of messages of love and light:
“We would like to mention a very special event which is coming up this month. On the full moon of April 22nd many of you will celebrate what you call the Wesak Festival. This is a celebration of enlightenment during which the Christ and Buddhic Energies will merge. It is no coincidence that this celebration also happens to occur on the First Day of Passover. For those of you who are not familiar with the Wesak Festival, you can celebrate it by creating a beautiful space out of doors. Create an altar with a rock, and place a crystal bowl filled with water on the rock along with whatever special objects you wish. We suggest flowers, your favorite crystals, candles and whatever you personally feel represents the Christ Consciousness and the Buddhic Consciousness. Stand in a meditative state. Call on your Masters, Guides and the Angelic Hierarchy to join you as you chant ‘Ohm Mani Padme Hum’ and watch for the Buddha to arrive. When the Buddha arrives over the rock, you may bow or kneel and speak the Great Invocation. You will feel our presence and many will experience some wonderful visions. It is at this time that you will feel a ‘lifting’ of spirit as your vibration raises and your hearts become One with ALL. When the Buddha recedes, drink from the crystal bowl of water which will then be blessed. Share this water with those you love . . . yes, dearest ones, even your pets.”
This whole practice is witchcraft! And the so-called Christ and Buddha ‘energies’ will never merge. Buddha was not a Christian, and unless he converted at death, he is in hell. The Bible says in:
2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Yahushuwa with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of Yahuwah with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as Yahuwah hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith Yahuwah, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith Yahuwah Almighty. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of Yahuwah.”
People with these beliefs have no fear of Yahuwah, and they have not Yahuwah. If you have been deceived by these beliefs, please do not fall for their lies any longer. Yahuwah wants you to spend eternity with Him in Heaven!
DECEPTION #5:
“God does not hate anything or anyone. He is love! Your God hates, and I do not want to serve THAT kind of God!”
Then you are not serving Yahuwah at all. Yahuwah is love, but Yahuwah also hates some things. The Bible says He hates sin. It even says He hates the sinner. He loves those who are His (He knows ahead of time who they are).
Psalms 11:5-7 “Yahuwah tests the righteous, and the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. He will rain coals upon the wicked. Fire and brimstone and a burning wind will be the portion of their cup for Yahuwah is righteous. He loves righteousness. His countenance beholds the upright.”
Psalms 146:8 “Yahuwah opens the eyes of the blind. Yahuwah raises those who are bowed down. Yahuwah loves the righteous.”
If you serve a god that claims to love and not hate, then you are serving the devil, not the Creator of the universe. The devil is a liar, and does not love at all, but he claims to, so he can deceive you into serving him. By trying to avoid a God who ‘hates’, you are in fact serving a god who hates you to your very core!
DECEPTION #6:
“I do not have fear, I have peace. Christianity is a religion based on fear, not love.”
Yahuwah does not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. We are not supposed to fear people or the devil, but we are supposed to fear (deeply respect) Yahuwah. We are to respect Him and hold Him in awe. He is holy and pure, and we should take that seriously. When we love Him and respect Him, we obey Him, and have no need to 'be afraid' of Him. But if we do not love, respect and obey Him, we have reason to be afraid of Him because He will judge us, and that is where the last verse below comes into play.
2 Corinthians 7:1 “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of Yahuwah.”
Ecclesiastes 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Psalm 111:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever."Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."
1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Hebrews 10:31 "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
“I got saved once. I can live any way I want to and still be saved, because we never can lose our salvation.”
I already talked about this in Chapter Two, under ‘The Beautiful Mansion’. Please refer to that if you need to. There is no 'once saved always saved' - it's a lie.
DECEPTION #8:
“I am saved because I go to church, because I am a good person, because I am Catholic, because ___________ (enter reasons).”
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of Yahuwah: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” We are not saved because of what we do, but through faith in Yahushuwa.
John 3:3 “Yahushuwa answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of Yahuwah.”John 14:6-7 “Yahushuwa saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.” Someone can go to church all their lives, be good people and do kind things, but if their sins are not cleansed by the Blood of Yahushuwa, they will die and go to hell, because everyone has sinned, and a sinner can not spend eternity in Heaven.
DECEPTION #9:
“I have plenty of time to think about it - I am still young.”
The Bible says today is the day of salvation. You have no guarantee of tomorrow. Many people have believed this lie, and died before they accepted Yahushuwa as their Savior.
DECEPTION #10:
“I want to live it up first. When I am done sowing my wild oats, then I will get born-again. I am having too much fun to do it now.”
Ephesians 5:5-7 says:“For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Yahushuwa and of Yahuwah. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of Yahuwah upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.”
If you insist on sowing wild oats first, and getting saved later, you will probably never get saved. You will probably die and go to hell. Do not put it off any longer! Yahushuwa wants you now. He wants to bless you and make your life fulfilled with good things, not things that will harm you.
DECEPTION #11:
“The thought of blood and sacrifices sounds gory and pagan. I do not want to serve a God who cleanses us with His blood through a sacrifice!”
That is the way Yahuwah chose to do it, and Yahuwah is God. Who are you to challenge Him? Yahushuwa paid the price for our sins by shedding His blood on the cross, because of His love for us, and accepting that is the only way to be saved.
Hebrews 9:14-22“How much more shall the blood of Yahushuwa, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to Yahuwah, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all whilethe testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which Yahuwah hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

2: RECEIVE YAHUSHUWA THE MESSIAH AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AS WELL AS SAVIOR:
Many professing Christians believe in Yahushuwa as their Savior, but few receive Him as the Lord of their lives. They may speak the words at the altar, but when they leave the altar they do not live according to Yahuwah’s will. Many people love the fact that Yahushuwa died for them so they can have eternal life, but they refuse to be obedient to Him. This is rebellion.Rebellion is the sin which satan committed that put him out of the presence of Yahuwah. When Yahushuwa is our Lord, He rules over us and we will live according to Yahuwah’s will and not our own.
Yahushuwa prayed in Luke 22:42 Saying "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” So many Christians are reluctant to pray this way because basically people like to do as they please. We should live to please Him and not ourselves.
John 8:28-29 “Then said Yahushuwa unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Fatherhath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
We are to strive to be like Yahushuwa because He lives in us.
1 Thessalonians 3:13 to 4:1 “To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before Yahuwah, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Yahushuwa the Messiah with all his saints. Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Yahushuwa, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please Yahuwah, so ye would abound more and more.”
When we do this, He gives us the things we need and our lives are not without pleasure.
Luke 12:31-32 “But rather seek ye the kingdom of Yahuwah; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
Philippians 2:10-16 “That at the Name of Yahushuwa every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Yahushuwa the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of Yahuwah the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is Yahuwah which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of Yahuwah, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Yahushuwa, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”
We are to be the
examples of Yahushuwa in this world, and we cannot be if we walk in darkness.
A backslider has left his first love. Revelation 2:1-7 talks about people who do many good things and hate evil, but who have left their first love. Verse five says to repent and do the first works or Yahuwah will remove their candlestick out of his place. That means their light will not shine anymore, and the only way it can shine is through Yahushuwa who is the light of the world. If we do not shine with His light we are walking in darkness. If we are walking in darkness, we are headed for the Lake of Fire.

John 1:5-10
“This
then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that
Yahuwah is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have
fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if
we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with
another, and the blood of Yahushuwa the Messiah his Son cleanseth us from all
sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned,
we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
When we really give our lives to Yahushuwa, we do what his Word says and follow His instructions. Proverbs 12:1 “Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.” We live right. We live to keep those spiritual doors closed to the enemy and open to Yahuwah’s blessings. Praying a sinner’s prayer to become a born-again believer does not automatically guarantee us protection from the enemy. Being in right relationship with Yahuwah through faith in Yahushuwa the Messiah does. When we are in right relationship with Him, we live according to His Word, because we believe and trust Him, and want to please Him. This is called living by faith.
Faith
is believing that Yahuwah’s Word is true, and acting on it. Faith without
action is dead:
James
2:19-26
“Thou
believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and
tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was
not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son
upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was
faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham
believed Yahuwah, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was
called the Friend of Yahuwah. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified,
and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by
works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead
also.”
If
we don’t produce the action, which is the obedience to His word, then we don’t
really have faith, and will not end up saved. Salvation may begin at the altar,
but it is a process. The Bible says to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
I’m going to show you something here. This is so simple it amazes me. But very
few people ‘get it’! This is how to be saved, and stay saved. Your pastor
probably won’t tell you this. He’ll probably tell you that salvation is a done
deal, and once you ‘pray the prayer’, you’re in the club, no matter what you do
from then on. That is a lie! Read on. Salvation comes from the Heavenly Father,
Yahuwah. First of all, you’ve probably heard the verses below
John 3:16 (RNV) “For Yahuwah (God) so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him may not perish but may have everlasting life.”
1John
4:9-10 (RNV)
“In this was manifested the loving affection of Yahuwah in us because Yahuwah
sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him. In
this is loving affection, not that we love Yahuwah, but because He loves us and
sent His Son as the propitiation for our sins.”
The
first step is to understand the verse above, that Yahuwah sent His Son,
Yahushuwa, to die for our sins because He loves us and provided a way for us to
not have to die for our sins (be eternally separated from God).
The
next step is to be sincerely sorry for your sins and repent of them – meaning
turn away from sin and turn towards Yahuwah. At this point you may not even
know what sin is, but that it’s bad things people do and you have done some of
them, and you don’t want to do them anymore.
The
next step is to receive His gift of salvation by believing He died for your
sins and confessing it with your mouth, that He is your Lord and Savior. Some
preachers teach that you don’t have to do a thing, but this is a lie.
Confessing Him with your mouth is ‘doing’ something. It’s putting action behind
your faith.
Romans
10:8-13 (RNV)
“But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart
(that is, the word of faith that we preach) because if you confess with your
mouth the Master Yahushuwa and believe in your heart because Yahuwah has
aroused Him out of the dead, salvation awaits you. For the heart believes
toward righteousness, moreover the mouth confesses toward salvation. For
scripture says, "All that believe upon Him will not be put to shame."
For there is no distinction between Yahudiy and Helene (Jew and Gentile), for the
same Master over all is rich to all who call upon Him. "Whoever calls on
the name of Yahuwah may be saved."
Okay, he’s quoting an
Old Testament verse in the last sentence. Joel 2:32 (RNV) “And it will come to pass whoever calls on
the name of Yahuwah will be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance,
as Yahuwah has said, among the remnant whom Yahuwah calls.”
Don’t
be confused. You confess the Son Yahushuwa, yet salvation comes when we call on
the name of the Father Yahuwah – Yahuwah is included in the name Yahushuwa!
They are one. We must go through the Son, the Messiah, Yahushuwa, who IS the
Father who put on a body of flesh and bones so He could be one of us, live a sinless life, and therefore qualify to
take the punsihent for our sins, so that we don’t have to take that punishment
(death and separation from God) if we repent and receive His blood sacrifice as
having been done for us.
John 14:6-9 (RNV) “Yahushuwa said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also, and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." Philippos said to Him, "Master, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." Yahushuwa said to him, "Have I been with you so long and you have not known Me, Philippos? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, and how can you say, 'Show us the Father?'”
John
3:2-6
“This man came to Yahushuwa by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that
You are a teacher come from Yahuwah for no one can do these signs that You do
unless Yahuwah is with him." Yahushuwa answered and said to him, "
Amein! Amein! I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom
of Yahuwah." Nikodemos said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is
old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
Yahushuwa answered, " Amein! Amein! I say to you, unless one is born of
water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of Yahuwah. That which is
born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do
not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'”
That
is why ministers have someone pray to receive ‘Jesus’ as their Lord and Savior
(most don’t know that His name is not Jesus, it’s Yahushuwa) – that is the
beginning of our salvation – when we repent of our sins and turn away from
them, we die to our old self and are born-again as a new man (spiritually)
through the Messiah and are instantly forgiven of all of our past sins, and
when we slip up and sin in the future (which we all will) we have immediate
access to His forgiveness WHEN WE REPENT (meaning be sorry that we sinned AND
turn away from our sin). We then have eternal life waiting for us – eternal
life with the Heavenly Father Yahuwah. When you pray, pray to the Father
(Yahuwah) in the name of the Son (Yahushuwa).
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “Therefore, if anyone is in the Anointed, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold! All things have become new. Now all things are of Yahuwah, who has reconciled us to Himself through Yahushuwa the Anointed and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that Yahuwah was in the Anointed reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for the Anointed, as though Yahuwah were pleading through us. We implore you on the Anointed's behalf, be reconciled to Yahuwah, for He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of Yahuwah in Him.”
2
Corinthians 6:1
“Moreover, working together, we also plead with you not to receive the grace of
Yahuwah in vain. For He says, "In an acceptable time I have heard you and
in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold! Now is the welcomed
time. Behold! Now is the day of salvation.”
Don’t wait to get
born-again into salvation. Begin now. And use His grace to empower you to stop
sinning. People who keep on sinning have received His grace in vain. It’s there
to help you. Use it, through prayer and make your decision to live according to
His word.
The next verse is also about dying
to your ‘self’ and coming alive in Him, and these verses also show us we must
‘do’ something (‘to put off’ our former conduct is an action):
Ephesians
4:22-32
“…that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man that grows
corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, yet be renewed in the spirit of your
mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to Yahuwah in
righteousness and true sacredness. Therefore, putting away lying, let each one
speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry and
do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your irritation nor give place to
the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him toil, working
with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has
need. Let no worthless speech proceed out of your mouth, but whatever is good
to the necessity of building up, that it may give grace to the hearers. And do
not make the Sacred Spirit of Yahuwah sorrowful, in whom you were sealed to the
day of redemption. Let all bitter gall, and passionate anger, and wrath, and
outcry, and blasphemy be put away from you with all malice. And be kind to one
another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as Yahuwah in the Anointed
forgave you.”
A
huge amount of the New Testament is quotes and teachings from the Old
Testament, because that is what Yahushuwa and His disciples lived and taught!
Your pastor will tell you that the Old Testament is done away with, but that is
a lie. Yahushuwa said:
Matthew
5:17-18 (RNV)
“Because do not think I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come
to destroy but to fulfill. Amein! For I say to you, until the sky and earth
pass away, one smallest letter or one minute part will by no means pass from
the law until all whatsoever has come to pass.”
And
the word ‘fulfil’ means to expound upon, teach correctly, teach how to apply
correctly, etc. In other words, it DOESN’T mean to do away with! Pastors do not
explain that. Perhaps they don’t know because they didn’t study the actual
meanings of many words that were not translated properly. Yahushuwa never broke
His own laws. He is the Word made flesh, the Living Word, the Creator – the
verses below are talking about Yahushuwa, our Messiah:
John 1:1-17 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was to Yahuwah, and the Word was Yahuwah. He was in the beginning with Yahuwah. All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the Light of men. And the Light appears in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from Yahuwah whose name was Yahuchanan (John the Baptist). This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light that gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power of choice to become children of Yahuwah, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Yahuwah. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His splendor, the splendor as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Yahuchanan bore witness of Him and cried out saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'" And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace, for the law was given through Mosheh (Moses). Grace and truth came through Yahushuwa the Anointed.”
He is the One who
wrote those laws! The Living Word, or the Word made flesh) He didn’t break His
own laws, He help people understand their true meaning and application.
The
Bible says that the definition of sin is transgression of Yahuwah’s law. 1 John 3:4 (RNV) “Whosoever
commits sin also transgresses the law and sin is the transgression of the law.”
The law is in both the Old and New Testament. So to give up sin, we must stop
transgressing His law (meaning we must start obeying it). If we do not live according to His
Word/law/instructions/Torah (all one and the same thing), and instead rebel
against it and do what we want to, we are not in right relationship with Him!
If we do the right things it shows that we have faith in Him, because our faith
in Him causes us to act and live right.
However, many of the commandments/laws/instructions do not apply to us because the Levital priesthood and sacrificial system was replaced by Yahushuwa (not done away with, but performed differently now, through Him instead of through a human priest and physical temple).
Some say if you keep one law you have to
keep them all, and that you can’t pick and choose, but you have to pick and
choose, because all the laws don’t apply to all people in every time period in
every place. The laws that pertain only to those living in Israel under their
former judicial system do not apply because that system is not in force, and
laws that violate the laws of our land do not apply because we are to obey our
own country’s laws, the ones for priests do not apply to us because there is
only one priest now, Yahushuwa, and the ones for women do not apply to men and
vise versa, some only apply if you’re getting ready to go into the temple and
presently there is no temple, and so on. Use some common sense. The ones that
apply to us are moral ones, common sense ones, ones about Yahuwah’s feast days,
Yahuwah’s dietary laws, etc., and most reading this probably keep a majority of
them anyways, with just a few exceptions.
So
how do we learn which commandments apply to us in our country and time period?
We study the Bible and ask for the Holy Spirit to help us understand. 2
Timothy 2:15 (RNV) “Hasten to present yourself approved (study to show
yourself approved) to the Eloah (God), a worker that has no cause to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Some
ministers take THIS verse: Ephesians 2:8-9 (RNV) “For by grace
you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the
sacrificial gift of Yahuwah, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” and
insist that there is NOTHING you have to do in order to go to Heaven. This is
another lie, because they are discarding the Scriptures that teach us that we
must ‘do’ some things AFTER confessing the Messiah as our Savior! Because faith
and action go together, and grace gives us the power to start keeping His
commandments NOT a license to do whatever we please.
The
next step that you need to do is continue to walk away from sin and walk with
your Savior by obeying His commandments. We must not willingly continue to live
in sin.
So,
the next step is to begin to read your Bible, study it, prayerfully, so that
you can begin to understand how to live the way Yahuwah wants His children to
live. Look for the commandments that you CAN do and don’t worry about all of
those that you CANNOT do. Just ask Yahuwah to help you understand them – some
that you cannot keep still have a good principle to encorporate into your life.
Hebrews
10:26-31 (RNV) “For if we sin willfully after we have
received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for
sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery zeal that will
devour the adversaries. Someone that disregards Moses's law dies without pity
on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse vengeance, do you
suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of Yahuwah
underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified common,
and insulted the Spirit of Grace? For we know Him who said, "Revenge is
Mine, I will repay," says Yahuwah. And again, "Yahuwah will judge His
people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
If
we do sin we can still repent and be forgiven. But if we sin and refuse to
repent, then we are in trouble. But obeying Yahuwah’s laws isn’t hard, in fact,
it’s a pleasure. His laws are good, and they are for our benefit. Do not be
afraid of this idea. It comes from our Creator, not from me. I’ll talk more
about His commandments on another page on our blog, and you’ll see that they are not scary
or hard.
The
Bible says that if we endure til the end then we WILL BE saved (future tense)
showing salvation is a process, and how we ‘endure’ and how we ‘walk’ is very
important.
Matthew 10:21-22 (RNV) “Moreover brother will deliver brother to death and a father his child. And sons will rise up upon parents and cause them to be put to death and you will be hated by all through My name. Moreover he who endures into the end will be saved”.
Proverbs
28:18 (RNV)
“Whoever walks blamelessly will be saved and he who is perverse in his
ways will fall at once.”
The
completion of our salvation happens at the ‘end’ - if we endure until the end –
which doesn’t mean we must never sin again – we shouldn’t, but because we are
human, we will at times and must repent when we do. It is based on our walk with Yahuwah instead
of backsliding back into a sinful life and refusing to repent. If someone repents
of their sins and confesses the Messiah as their Savior on their death bed, and
dies, I’m fully convinced they will go to Heaven. But those who live on need to
work out their salvation daily by learning how to live right and by repenting
when they mess up and sin, because we cannot ‘live in sin’ and go to Heaven.
That prayer at the altar, when we receive His forgiveness and are saved by
grace through faith, does not give us a license to sin in the future – it is
not a one-way ticket to Heaven no matter what kind of life we live from then on.
The once saved always saved idea is a lie from hell! Instead of believing the
pastors and false teachers, let’s believe what Yahuwah’s word says. Notice in
the next verse it says that we must purify ourselves as Yahuwah is pure:

John 3:1-8
“Look at what manner of loving affection the Father has bestowed upon us, that
we should be called the sons of Yahuwah. Through this the world does not know
us because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are the sons of Yahuwah, and it
does not yet appear what we will be, Moreover we know because when He appears
we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is. And every man that has
this hope in Him purifies himself even as He is pure. Whosoever commits
sin also transgresses the law and sin is the transgression of the law. And
you know because He was made manifest to take away our sins and in Him is no
sin. Whosoever abides in Him does not sin. Whosoever sins has not seen Him,
neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you. He that does
righteousness is righteous as He is righteous. He that commits sin is out of
the devil because the devil sinned from the beginning. Toward this purpose the
Son of Yahuwah was made manifest that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
Purifies hmiself is
an action on our part. It says if we abide in Him we do not sin, and that means
willingly and knowingly transgress the law – it doesn’t mean we will never
stumble in a weak moment and commit a sin, or do something that we do not even
know is a sin because we haven’t had time to study and find it out yet.
So
the next step - there are future things you need to do – mainly continue to
walk away from sin and walk with your Savior by obeying His commandments. So
you need to study your Bible and learn how to do this. You learn what sin is by
the Bible. It says that sin is the transgression of the law. And you learn what
the law is so that you can stop transgressing it. And you must understand that
not all of the law applies to every person,
and also that the laws about bringing sacrifices to the temple and presenting
them to a high priest for any sins you commit after you receive the Messiah is
not necessary, because Yahushuwa became the HIGH PRIEST when He offered the
FINAL SACRIFICE – His own body. We go through Him, not a human priest, and His
temple is within us now, we don’t go to the synagogue. If you sin, as Him to
forgive you, and stop doing that sin. We are to work out our salvation. That is
an action we need to do!
Philippians 2:12-13 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is Yahuwah who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
See,
it’s talking about obedience and working out our salvation in utmost reverance
for Him. Do you see now why I say the preachers are wrong when they say there
is nothing we have to do to be saved? Obeying the law does not save us – His
grace is a free gift – but after we receive it we must obey the law. It’s like
if a policeman gives us a speeding ticket, and someone pays the fine for us and
we get set free, we still are expected to obey the speed limit the next time we
drive, and if we do not, we will be in more trouble than we were the first
time, and we may not get our ticket paid for.
Psalms
2:11-12
“Serve Yahuwah with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son lest He be
angry and you perish in the way when His anger is kindled a little. Happy are
all those who put their trust in Him.”
We just saw the Old
Testament talk about reverencing the Father, and kissing the Son – both Yahuwah
and Yahushuwa are mentioned in the Old Testament.
Proverbs
30:4
“Who has ascended into the sky or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His
fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends
of the earth? What is His name and what is His Son's name, if you know?”
There it is again –
the Son is mentioned in the Old Testament. You see, Yahushuwa is the Father who
came in the flesh – He was always there – the living word made flesh. The visible image of the invisible God. A lot of
people think that the Father is in the Old Testament and the Son is only in the
New Testament. But actually, the two go together. By the way, notice how our
Messiah Yahushuwa, the Son, mentions this verse for the New Testament:
John 3:13 “No one has ascended to the sky but He who came down from the
sky, the Son of Man who is in the sky.”
When we live in right relationship with Yahuwah by making Him our habitation, He sends His angels to protect us.
Psalms 91:9-16 “Because thou hast made Yahuwah, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.”
If we obey His Word, He gives us blessings such as prosperity, success, safety, peace, and protection from evil beasts which can be demons or other kinds of evil beasts.
Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
Leviticus 26:3-6 "If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land."
And, as I said previously, there are consequences to our actions concerning obeying His Word.
1 Kings 9:4-7 "And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people."
I have also mentioned this in another chapter, but I think it is worth mentioning again. If we really love Him, we keep His commandments and live according to His Word. We know which people really love Him by the way they live.
John 15:9-14 “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”
People who really love Yahuwah do not deliberately commit sin. Some do it out of ignorance, but when they find out they sinned they feel bad and repent. The greatest commandment is to love Yahuwah with all our hearts, minds and bodies, and love our neighbors as ourselves. If we really love Yahuwah like this we will not do things that displease Him, we will obey Him and live the way His Word teaches us to. If we really love our neighbors, we will not hate them, kill them, hit them, call them names, covet their belongings, have sex with their spouses, harm their children, steal their money, etc. In other words, we will keep the ten commandments if we really love Yahuwah with all our hearts.
When someone has been playing with the occult or living in sin and refuses to confess his sins and acknowledge that these things are of satan and not Yahuwah, he is in great danger. Many professing Christians live in ways that are contrary to Yahuwah’s Word and refuse to change even when they are shown that they are wrong. They insist they are really saved and that they are good Christians, but this is not always the case. Some of these people are not saved, because they have walked away from Yahuwah, and the gap became so big that there is no longer a relationship left. They walked away and are on their own.
1 John 1:5-10 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that Yahuwah is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yahushuwa the Messiah his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
3: RENOUNCE ALL PREVIOUS PARTICIPATION IN THE OCCULT AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS:

Peter 4:17-18
“For
the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of Yahuwah: and if it
first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of
Yahuwah? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and
the sinner appear?”
It
is much better to judge yourself than to live in sin and then get judged by
Yahuwah. If you judge yourself and ask Yahuwah to forgive you, He does not
remember your sins because He cleanses you from them. Even if you did an occult
activity just once, and just for fun or out of curiosity, you must renounce it,
or there could still be a spirit attached to you that came when you
participated in the activity. This is VERY important. If you or your children
have participated in occult or ungodly activities, to just stop doing them is
not necessarily enough. Like the demon entered the teenager who played with the
Ouija board only ONE time, a spirit may have already entered you or your child.
Like it gave her cancer many years later, it may give you something years from
now. You must also renounce the activity and pray the prayer of deliverance
from any spirits, to be sure you are set free from its effects. Here is a list
of many occult activities. Go through it and check off any you have done or
observed.

Yes
the list is long, and there are more things that could be put on the list! Do
not let this frustrate you. Just go over the list and pray the prayer of
deliverance and Yahuwah will forgive you instantly and completely. Then do not
play in these areas again. If you mess up and do play again, pray the prayer
again. Yahuwah’s forgiveness does not work like baseball’s “three strikes and
you’re out!” He will always forgive you when you ask Him to.
Some of these, such as rape experiences or ancestors who were involved in the occult, are things that may have happened to you but were not of your choosing and were not your fault. You should ask Yahuwah to forgive the people who were involved, and to forgive you for any bitterness you may have in your heart concerning these things, even though you do not need to ask Yahuwah to forgive you for the fact that other people did them. When you forgive others you get rid of bitterness. Bitterness defiles others as well as you. Hebrews 12:15 “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of Yahuwah; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.”
One
man I met years ago forgave his mother for treating him badly and several
members of his family became born-again believers, and some were healed of
serious diseases. The Bible says that whatever we bind on earth will be bound
in Heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven. When we
stay angry and bitter toward someone we bind ourselves and others, and Yahuwah
is not able to work in these lives to turn people to Him. We get in His way
when we stay angry and get bitter.
Yahuwah
may punish them.
Romans
12:19-21
“Dearly
beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is
written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith Yahuwah. Therefore if thine
enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt
heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with
good.”
Or He may show them
His kindness which leads to repentance.
Romans
2:4
“Or
despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of Yahuwah leadeth thee to repentance?”
Believers are in battle, but we are to fight the spirits of darkness, not each other. In a sermon Donnie McGuire preached he told a story that had happened to a pastor. An elderly woman from the pastor’s congregation died. He knew her as a beautiful saint of Yahuwah. One day when he was worshiping and praising Yahuwah, he thought about this woman and asked Yahuwah to give him a vision of her worshiping around the throne. He just wanted to see how happy she must be. The Spirit of Yahuwah spoke to him and said “She’s not here.” He told Yahuwah that He must be mistaken because she was one of the greatest saints he had ever known. She had been in the church faithfully, tithed faithfully, was always ministering to others, and she must be there. Yahuwah said something like “No, you do not understand. There was a husband who left her and she never would forgive him, and that became a wall between Me and her, and I never could forgive her.” That wall of unforgiveness became a wall that blocked Yahuwah’s forgiveness toward her.
Mark
11:25-26
“And
when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father
also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not
forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
If Yahuwah has not
forgiven you of your sins, then you cannot go to Heaven. NO sin can enter
Heaven, not even one. Those who die and cannot enter Heaven end up in the lake
of fire instead. Yahuwah does not want this to happen to any of us. He gives us
many chances to repent so we can be forgiven. If we refuse to repent, we end up
in that lake by our own choice. It is not Yahuwah’s will that any should perish
(2 Peter 3:9), but many do perish because they do not obey Yahuwah and
do His will, which is to turn away from sin.
It is sin to hold un-forgiveness in your heart. Mark 11:25 says if we do not forgive those who trespass against us then Yahuwah will not forgive us. If Yahuwah is letting you know that you have un-forgiveness toward someone then He is calling you to repentance. Do not turn your back on Yahuwah and refuse His offer. He is giving you the chance to turn away from unforgiveness, and to refuse to sin. He does this because He is merciful. If you rebel against Him, then you step out from under His mercy and into His judgment. He may cry with grief when you do this, because He loves you SO much, but He will nevertheless judge you.
Many people refuse to acknowledge this side of Yahuwah. They like to believe He is so full of love and mercy that He would never judge anyone. Although Yahuwah is full of love and mercy, He is just. He destroyed entire cities because the people refused to repent. Yahuwah is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He did not leave that side of Himself somewhere after He came as Yahushuwa to die for our sins.
He makes it easier for us to repent because of His grace given to us through the Blood of Yahushuwa. But if we rebel against His grace, then Yahushuwa’s blood will not cover our sins. We will have rejected it and He will therefore reject us. In the book of Hebrews it talks about Yahushuwa dying in vain. Yahushuwa has died in vain for some people because they reject Him. Hebrews 10:24-31 mentions Yahuwah’s judgment of Christians who decide to continue sinning instead of repenting. It is like stepping on the Son of Yahuwah and trampling over Him. We must always try to submit ourselves to Yahuwah, and never try to go over Him and do things our own way. He will always forgive us when we repent.
Hebrews 10:24-31 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of Yahuwah, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, Yahuwah shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Many people who have been abused hold un-forgiveness in their hearts because they want to punish the one who hurt them. They have good reason to be angry, but they MUST release this anger to Yahuwah and let Him deal with the abuser. They can have the abuser arrested if necessary, and probably should not be around that person anymore, especially if it's a wife-beater or child-molester or abuser, but they must give up the angry feelings that turn into bitterness. Ephesians 4:26-27 “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.” It is natural to feel anger from time to time, but we must not hold on to it. Psalms 37:8 “Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.”
Pray
a prayer like this one to release the anger and bitterness you may feel toward
anyone and everyone:
If the feelings seem
to return and you find yourself angry with someone again, just pray this prayer
as many times as necessary telling Yahuwah that you release the person from all
anger and bitterness and you forgive them. If you have to pray it many times in
a day, do it. Soon you will begin to really feel the forgiveness!
Now it is time to cleanse yourself from all the occult activities you have participated in. Pray this simple prayer, listing all the activities you remember doing, and you will be freed from the effects of them.
“DEAR LORD YAHUSHUWA, I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR. THANK YOU FOR DYING FOR MY SINS. PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR ALL OF MY SINS, AND FOR PARTICIPATING IN ANY FORM OF THE OCCULT OR UNGODLY ACTIVITIES (name them), AND FOR ANY THAT I DO NOT REMEMBER OR KNOW ABOUT. I BREAK ANY CURSES I MAY HAVE RECEIVED FROM GENERATIONS OF FAMILY MEMBERS WHO WERE INVOLVED. SATAN, I BIND YOU AND ALL YOUR DEMONS IN YAHUSHUWA’S NAME, AND COMMAND YOU TO LEAVE ME, LEAVE MY HOME, FAMILY AND BELONGINGS AND GO INTO THE VOIDS OF SPACE UNTIL YOUR TIME OF JUDGMENT. I COMMAND YOU TO GIVE BACK WHAT YOU HAVE STOLEN FROM ME. YAHUSHUWA, I ASK YOU TO CLOSE ALL DOORS I HAVE OPENED BY INVOLVING MYSELF IN THESE THINGS. SET YOUR ANGELS AROUND ME TO PROTECT ME, AND LET YOUR HOLY SPIRIT WARN ME IF I BEGIN TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD OPEN ANOTHER DOOR.”
Here
is a good prayer to pray if you have been actively involved in satanism,
witchcraft or spiritualism. This was taken out of the book Witch that
Switched by Irene Park (I changed the name ‘Jesus’ to Yahushuwa and the
command ‘about’ satan to a command directly ‘to’ satan):
IN THE NAME OF YAHUSHUWA I RENOUNCE MY PARTICIPATION IN ALL SATANIC ORDERS, CULTS, AND MYSTICAL BROTHERHOODS. I ALSO RENOUNCE ALL VOWS THAT BIND ME AND MY FAMILY TO ANY SATANIC ORDER, SECT OR CLAN. I REPENT OF THIS SIN AND ASK THE BLOOD OF YAHUSHUWA TO CLEANSE AND NULLIFY AND MAKE VOID THE VOWS I MADE AND NOW LOOSE ME FROM THEM. LORD I NOW PRAISE AND THANK YOU THAT YOU HAVE COME TO DELIVER ME AND GIVE ME FREEDOM FROM THE POWER OF SATAN. 4: REPENT
I talked about repenting in the previous section. Now I want to explain it further. Repent means to turn around and go the other way.Acts 26:20 “But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to Yahuwah, and do works meet for repentance.”
If you are walking your own way or with the devil, you need to turn around and walk with Yahuwah.
Ephesians 4:17-24 “This I say therefore, and testify in Yahuwah, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of Yahuwah through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Yahushuwa; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Yahushuwa: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after Yahuwah is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
Repentance brings refreshing.
Acts 3:19 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of Yahuwah.” Repentance is not just a prayer or a sorrowful feeling for doing wrong. It is an act that people can see by the godly fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Luke 3:8 “Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That Yahuwah is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.”
If we are walking with Yahuwah these are the fruits which will manifest in our lives.
Galatians 5:22-25 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Yahushuwa’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
Ephesians 5:9-11 “(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto Yahuwah. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
Do you live your life according to what is acceptable to Yahuwah? Or do you have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, the works that cause your fruit to rot and stink? It is time to begin reproving them. Do not participate in the occult anymore. Instead, submit to Yahuwah and cause the devil to run away from you, and you will not suffer any consequences from occult participation.
Luke 9:23-24 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”
When you turn to walk with Yahushuwa, take up your cross and follow Him. The cross is an instrument of death. You must die to your own self will and submit to His will.
Ephesians 5:3-4 (NIV) “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for Yahuwah’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.”
Sex outside of marriage is immoral, seduction is immoral and impure, witchcraft and satanism are impure, violence and theft come from greed, foul language is obscene. Any of the above used as a form of comedy is foolish talk or coarse jesting. Many Christians do not actually do many of the things listed above, but they will watch them on television. They think that because they do not commit adultery, steal, cheat, murder, lie, abuse people, etc., that they are good Christians. They may say “But all I do is watch TV! Surely I’m not that bad!”
Remember, the devil told Lester Sumrall that he would destroy America with the television! The reason they desire to entertain themselves by watching those sinful acts on television is because there is a hint of these things in these people. If there was not, they would be offended by them and refuse to watch them. Watching a show with cursing and swearing shows there is a hint of that immorality in you, because you are allowing those words to be spoken in your home. Playing secular rock music with ungodly messages shows there is a hint of that ungodliness in you because you willingly bring it into your home, your ears and your children’s ears.
Other Christians do some of the activities. When someone lives with a member of the opposite sex, even if they do not have sexual relations, there is a hint of sexual immorality there. It has the appearance of evil. When someone wears a ghost costume to a Halloween party there is an obvious hint of a ghost, which is evil. The same is true if they wear a witch, Dracula, ghoul, etc. costume. If they wear revealing clothing there is a hint of seduction, even if they do not consciously seek to seduce. We are not to even hint that these things are a part of our lives because the Bible says it is improper for Yahuwah’s holy people.
People who do these things try to use their freedom in Yahushuwa as a license to sin! Although it may be fun to do some of these things, they are abominations to Yahuwah, and we must die to these desires and come alive to His will for our lives. There are people who want money or drugs so badly that they will kill for them. We should want a close relationship with Yahuwah so badly that we will kill the desires of our flesh for Him. We will be healthier and more successful when we do. We will also be good influences on others who are watching us and learning to do the things we do. For some it is easy to give up those seemingly pleasant activities which are unpleasing to Yahuwah, but for some it is very hard. We need to deny ourselves and take up our cross, the instrument of death, and die to our desires daily. This is true repentance.
5: CLEAN OUT YOUR HOME OF ANY OCCULT OR INAPPROPRIATE ITEMS
Do not keep the ‘accursed thing’ in your home any longer. It is wise to pray for Yahuwah to show you anything in your home, including in your children’s toy box, your teenager’s record collection, jewelry and clothing, and your magazine, video and CD collections, that is of occult nature or inappropriate. Then go through your home and remove all these things. These things will only produce rotten fruit in your family’s life, and will be an open invitation for demons to live with you if you keep them. As I said before, when the garbage stinks, it is time to take it out! Do not keep the accursed things in your home any longer.
Joshua 6:18 “And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.”
Keeping these things
in your home can curse you and your family.
Joshua 7:1 “But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of Yahuwah was kindled against the children of Israel.”
It makes Yahuwah
angry when you keep them and put them among your own stuff.
Joshua 7:11 “Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.”
As long as you have the accursed things, familiar objects or occult related objects, including seductive things that attract occult sexual demons, you will not be able to stand against the devil very well and he can defeat you. They will cause you to be cursed.
Joshua 7:12 “Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.”
The Bible says to
destroy them.
Joshua 7:13 “Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith Yahuwah God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.”
People in the Bible
days burned their occult objects.
Acts 19:18-20 “And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the Word of Yahuwah and prevailed.”
When they did, the
Word of Yahuwah grew and prevailed!
6: READ YOUR BIBLE DAILY
The Word of Yahuwah
is powerful.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of Yahuwah is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Faith comes from reading it.
Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Yahuwah.”
We can get to know Yahuwah and get to know His will by reading His Word. There is actual power in His Word also. In the Word is our spiritual armor. When we face a temptation or trial we can recall the promises in the Bible and use them as armor to deliver or heal us, because it is in our memory if we have studied it. It gets down inside us.
Psalms 107:20 “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
Yahushuwa used the Word when the devil tempted Him in Luke 4:1-13:
“And Yahushuwa being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of Yahuwah, command this stone that it be made bread. And Yahushuwa answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of Yahuwah. And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Yahushuwa answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship Yahuwah thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of Yahuwah, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. And Yahushuwa answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt Yahuwah thy God. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.”
If Yahushuwa used the Word of Yahuwah to stand against the devil when he approached Him, then we should too. We need to know what the Word says before we can recall these Scriptures and do this! If anyone tells you to do something that contradicts what Yahuwah’s Word says, then it is not from Yahuwah. That is another reason you need to read the Bible regularly, so you know what is in there. Otherwise, how will you know if what they say agrees with the Bible or not? Also, reading the Word and getting it inside you makes you strong and helps you overcome the wicked one!
1 John 2:14 “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of Yahuwah abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-25 (My comments are in parenthesis): “Hear, O Israel: Yahuwah our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love Yahuwah thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
(first YOU must love Yahuwah and do what is right)
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
(you should read the Bible and have the Word of Yahuwah so ingrained in your heart that you remember it when you need it)
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
(and teach the Bible to you children and explain it to them whenever an opportunity arises, day or night)
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
(know the Word so well that you see them in your mind often)
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
(let others know what the Word says, tell others about it)
And it shall be, when Yahuwah thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
(when Yahuwah blesses you with prosperity and good things)
Then beware lest thou forget Yahuwah, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
(do not forget that it was He who delivered you out of bondage and blessed you, and keep Him first in your priorities)
Thou shalt fear Yahuwah thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
(always respect and reverence Him, live for Him and do what He tells you to)
Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
(never mind what other people are doing who are not living for Yahuwah, don’t you follow after them or their gods; do not do wrong things just because others are doing them)
(For Yahuwah thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of Yahuwah thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
(Yahuwah gets very angry when we follow after any other god except Him; or when we live to please ourselves rather than Him. He wants us 100% committed to Him, not 99%)
Ye shall not tempt Yahuwah your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
(living for our own desires instead of His is an act of tempting Yahuwah, or testing Him to see how much you can get away with)
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of Yahuwah your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
(he wants us to consistently live according to His instructions)
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of Yahuwah: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which Yahuwah sware unto thy fathers,
(and if we do live according to His Word and instructions, and live to please Him,things will go well for us and we will receive the gifts Yahuwah has for us)
To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as Yahuwah hath spoken.
(we can cast out the devil and his cohorts, and the damage he has put upon us and our families)
And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Yahuwah our God hath commanded you? Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and Yahuwah brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: And Yahuwah showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. And Yahuwah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahuwah our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
(and when our children ask us about Yahuwah’s Word and His way of living we can tell them how He brought us out of bondage and did miracles in our lives, defeated our enemies, gave us all that we have, and because we lived according to His ways He kept us alive and protected us)
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.”
(we are righteous when we have faith in Yahushuwa, Yahuwah’s Son, and because we trust Him we do what He tells us to in His Word)
7:
PRAY DAILY
James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Prayer is powerful and actually changes things in this world if we pray according to Yahuwah’s will, which we will know if we have been studying His Word. Get a prayer partner. It can be your spouse if you are married, a relative or a friend of the same sex. (Do not get a prayer partner of the opposite sex if one of you is married, unless it is your spouse.) You can confess your faults to each other and pray for each other. Make yourself accountable to that person so if you slip back in your commitment to Yahushuwa they can help catch you and steer you back in the right direction.
Galatians 6:1-2 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Yahushuwa.”
James 5:19-20 (NIV) “My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone would bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.”
This last verse is talking about a Christian wandering from the truth, not an unsaved person. An unsaved person cannot wander away from what he has never been in. He lives in the world that is controlled by the devil, the father of lies. Yahushuwa is the way, the truth and the life. A Christian can wander from the truth, and if you correct him and bring him back you save him from death and cover a multitude of sins. Remember, love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). And love is an action, not just words (1 John 3:18). Love confronts sin and tells people to repent, for their own good and for the good of others.
1 John 5:16 (NIV) says: “If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and Yahuwah will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death.”
We can pray for Yahuwah to forgive another Christian’s sin. Christians DO sin sometimes, but do not deliberately do it and keep doing it. Verse 18 in The Amplified Bible says it like this: “We know (absolutely) that anyone born of Yahuwah does not (deliberately and knowingly) practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of Yahuwah carefully watches over and protects him - Yahushuwa’s divine presence within him preserves him against the evil - and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch (him).”
Proverbs 11:14 “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”Proverbs 15:22 “Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.”
Psalms 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of Yahuwah; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall notwither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Your prayer partner and friend who gives you counsel should be a strong and mature Christian who knows the Word of Yahuwah and has a close knit relationship with Him. Your spouse is your best prayer partner if you are both saved.
Matthew 18:19 “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
You can get in agreement with that person about the things you need from the Lord, and then you will receive them. Do also spend time alone with Yahuwah in prayer. Even Yahushuwa got away from the people at times so He could be alone with Yahuwah. You will get to know Him better this way, and will learn to recognize His voice. Spend time worshiping Him. It may help to listen to praise and worship music while you pray. Tell Him how much you love Him, and thank Him for all the things He has done for you. Thank Him for His Son Yahushuwa. Thank the Holy Spirit for guiding and comforting you. Yahuwah, Yahushuwa and the Holy Spirit are all one God, yet they have different functions. When you pray, pray to the Father in the Name of Yahushuwa.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.” Keep yourself in tune to Yahuwah’s voice so you can communicate with Him throughout the day. There is power in prayer to stop occult power from working. Lester Sumrall once went with his wife to a fair. As usual, there was a fortune teller at the fair. She was behind a curtain with a crystal ball, and she took customers one at a time behind the curtain to tell them their fortune. Mrs. Sumrall sat outside the curtain on a bench and prayed silently in tongues for several minutes. The fortune teller finally stomped angrily around the curtain, pointed at her and said “So you are the one!” She told her she could not tell any fortunes while she was sitting there! Her prayers stopped the teller’s demonic powers from working!
Another similar incident happened to Lester Sumrall. He said he was in another country and a woman who did automatic writing was in a pagan temple, sitting at a table, with green foam coming out of her mouth, writing messages from their gods (who were demons). He sat watching her from a distance, praying, and her pen kept flying out of her hand and landing on the floor while he prayed. She became angry with him because her demonic power would not work while he was praying. Likewise, your prayers can stop demonic powers from working in your own personal life.
When you pray, tell Yahuwah your feelings and ideas. Talk to Him like a friend. Ask Him to lead and guide you, to give you the wisdom and power you need to walk in His will, and to meet all of your needs.
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto Yahuwah. And the peace of Yahuwah, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Messiah Yahushuwa.”
If you pray according to His will, or His Word, the Bible says He hears you and gives you what you ask for.
1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
If there are no Scriptures that apply specifically to your situation, ask Him what His will is for you and He will tell or show you at the right time.
James 1:5-8 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of Yahuwah, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of theLord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
Asking in faith means you trust Him and believe He will do what He says He will do, even if you do not see Him, feel His presence or hear His voice.
James 5:14-15 “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of Yahushuwa: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and Yahushuwa shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”
Mark 11:23-24 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Always pray in faith and He can bless you a lot more.
8: GET THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND PRAY IN TONGUES DAILY
The Bible says in Ephesians
5:17-20:
“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of Yahuwah is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to Yahuwah; Giving thanks always for all things unto Yahuwah and the Father in the name of our Lord Yahushuwa the Messiah.”
This is different
than regular baptism in water.
Luke 3:3 “And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”
When we get baptized
in water, we are dunked down into the water to symbolize being buried with
Yahushuwa in His death, and when we come up out of the water it symbolizes
being resurrected with Him from the dead.
Colossians 2:12 “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of Yahuwah, who hath raised him from the dead.”
It is an outward sign
of an inward work that Yahuwah has done in our spirits when we got born-again,
gave our lives to Him, died of our own will and ways and came alive in Him.
Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is a different baptism that Yahushuwa gives
us if we ask for it.
John 1:33 “And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.”
Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.”
This baptism gives us the ‘fire’, or zeal, for Yahuwah. Fire purifies us. It burns the chaff out of our lives. When a silversmith melts down the silver, the dross rises to the top and he skims it off. Then the metal is pure and the silversmith can see himself in it. The fire causes our ‘dross’ to rise to the top where it can be seen and removed, so we can be pure, and our Creator can see Himself in us, and others can see Him in us. Although Yahushuwa cleanses us from all of our sins at salvation, the Holy Spirit helps us get rid of the old habits and ways of thinking by convicting us of sin.
Many people think
when we accept Yahushuwa as our Savior we automatically receive the baptism of
the Holy Spirit. This is not true. The Holy Spirit does minister to us, lead,
guide, comfort, counsel and convict us, but that does not mean we are baptized
in Him.
John 14:16-17 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
The baptism in the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues go together. Everyone in the Bible who received the baptism of the Holy Ghost spoke in tongues. This is the evidence of it. You do not need to pray in tongues in order to be saved, but there are many good reasons to pray in tongues regularly.
REASONS
TO PRAY IN TONGUES
Jude 1:17-25 “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Yahushuwa the Messiah; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of Yahuwah, looking for the mercy of our Lord Yahushuwa the Messiah unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.”
A. GIVES YOU MORE POWER
Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
People will tell you, “But I already have power as a born-again believer. I do not need this ‘baptism’ or to speak in tongues to have power!” It is true that a non-tongue-talking believer already has power, but the power is greater with the Holy Ghost baptism. It gives you greater power to witness, and greater power in other areas of your life also.
When Kenneth Hagin
received this baptism he was the pastor of a church. He got filled with the
Holy Ghost while away from his church. When he arrived back, he did not tell
anyone what had happened. He just went about preaching like normal, without
speaking in tongues. People began coming up to him to ask what was different
about him. They noticed the difference and told him he seemed to have more
power than he used to! This has happened to many people after they received the
baptism of the Holy Spirit.
B. BUILDS YOU UP
IN YOUR FAITH:
Jude 1:20 “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”
When you are built up
on your holy faith, you are stronger and more powerful. Faith can move
mountains:
Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
Faith can make you
whole:
Matthew 9:22 “But Yahushuwa turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.”
Mark 5:34 “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”
Mark 10:52 “And Yahushuwa said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Yahushuwa in the way.”
Faith is what saves
people:
Luke 7:49-50 “And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
Faith is the
substance that brings about the good things we hope and pray for:
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Speaking in tongues
builds you in your faith. A lot can be accomplished when this happens.
C. KEEPS YOU
LOVING, AND HOPING FOR MERCY:
Jude 1:21 “Keep yourselves in the love of Yahuwah, looking for the mercy of our Lord Yahushuwa the Messiah unto eternal life.”
Through praying in
tongues, the Holy Spirit helps keep your heart tender toward Yahuwah and
others. It helps you to walk in love and mercy, even toward yourself. When we
walk in His perfect love, we are bold and fearless:
1 John 4:17-18 “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
D. GIVES YOU
COMPASSION AND BOLDNESS TO HELP OTHERS GET SAVED:
Jude 1:22-23 “And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”
Some people are won
to Yahuwah by gentleness, others are won by fear when they realize the
terribleness of the hell where they will go if they do not get saved. Praying
in tongues will help you be a good witness to both of these types of people and
will help your prayers pull them out of the fiery pit that many of them are
falling into. The Holy Spirit will also cause you to hate sin so much that you
want nothing to do with the ungodly things of the world.
E. HELPS YOU LIVE
FOR GOD (HELPS YOU OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS/LAWS:
Ezekiel 36:27 “And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”
Jude 1:24 “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.”
He keeps you from falling by convicting you of sin and causing you to want to repent. He also gives you joy!
When I received the Holy Ghost my first husband and I were in the middle of going through a large grocery sack full of ‘X’ rated movies. We watched one or two every night. One day, while driving down the road, I asked Yahushuwa to baptize me in the Holy Spirit and I began to sing a new song in an unknown tongue. I then sang it in English. That night my ex-husband put on one of the movies and I immediately knew I should not be watching them anymore. I almost became physically sick because they repulsed me so much. I was a believer in Yahushuwa before this, and going to a Bible believing church, but I watched those movies without feeling bad about it until after I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Although He convicted me of other sins before this experience, the conviction was never so strong and overpowering before I received the Holy Ghost. This is how He can purify you with fire.
F. EDIFIES YOU,
AND WITH INTERPRETATION EDIFIES THE BODY OF YAHUSHUWA:
1 Corinthians 14:4 “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”
When someone speaks in tongues in a church service or public meeting he edifies himself though he does not understand the words, but the congregation does not get edified unless they do understand them.
There are two different kinds of speaking in tongues. One is where you pray TO Yahuwah in the unknown language as the Spirit gives you the words. This edifies you. The other is when you speak out a message FROM Yahuwah to someone else. This edifies others. The Holy Spirit is giving you the words, but this time it is communication from Yahuwah to others rather than from others to Yahuwah. When you pray TO Yahuwah, you edify yourself or the one you are praying for, and it does not really matter if you understand the words or not. You CAN understand them if you want to. You can ask Yahuwah to give you the interpretation and He will. Sometimes I do this when I pray but usually I do not.
1 Corinthians 14:12-15 “Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.”
When you give a
message from Yahuwah to someone else, you or someone else should
interpret it so they can benefit from it.
1 Corinthians 14:9-11 “So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.”
They need to know
what you are saying.
1 Corinthians 14:16-19 “Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. I thank Yahuwah my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.”
When you are speaking
to others it is better to speak in a language they can understand. Interpretation
of tongues is equal to prophecy, because it speaks the message from Yahuwah in
a language people understand, like prophesy does.
1 Corinthians 14:5-6 “I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?”
Tongues are a sign
for unbelievers, but prophecy (words from Yahuwah spoken in a known
language) are to convict unbelievers of their sin and cause them to repent.
1 Corinthians 14:22-25 “Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship Yahuwah, and report that Yahuwah is in you of a truth.”
There have been exceptions to this in churches where someone prayed in a language unknown to him and there was no interpreter, so the congregation did not understand it. Yet there was a sinner there who did understand the language and the message was just for him, and no one else. In the sinner’s native language, the tongue-talking believer accurately told him about all of the sin in his life, and that he needed Yahushuwa. The sinner broke down and cried and gave his life to Yahushuwa, and later admitted that the person spoke in his native language and spoke directly to him. In cases like this, through tongues in a person’s own language, or in a heavenly language and the sinner ‘hears’ it in his own language, his secret sins are made bare and he falls on his face and worships Yahuwah.
This happened on the
day of Pentecost as told about in Acts.
Acts 2:1-8 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?”
These people did not know the languages they were speaking. The only language they spoke naturally was Galilean. They spoke in the other languages supernaturally and the unbelievers understood them, or as I mentioned above, they spoke in a heavenly language and the unbelievers ‘heard’ them in their own languages.
During congregational messages in tongues with interpretations, there should not be confusion. Also, the messages should edify, comfort and build people up, not tear them down. If they tear down people, then they are coming from a person’s own thoughts and not from Yahuwah. They may confront sin and convict of sin, but not abuse people emotionally. Yahuwah’s rod and staff comfort us although they sometimes hurt a little, as they steer us in the right direction. The following verses are instructions for congregational tongues, prophecies, psalms, doctrines, revelations, or interpretations (which are the same as prophecy). These are for the people who feel led to speak out messages, usually after praise and worship, in church.
1 Corinthians 14:26-33 “How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to Yahuwah. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For Yahuwah is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
They are to talk one
at a time, edify or build up, stop after two or three have done it, and if
their message is in tongues they are to make sure there is someone there with
the gift of interpretation. If they know there is no one to interpret, they are
supposed keep quiet. It is all right for them to pray quietly in tongues to edify
themselves and talk to Yahuwah though.
G. REFRESHES YOU:
Isaiah 28:11-12 “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
Paul refers to this
Scripture in Isaiah when he teaches on speaking in tongues in 1 Corinthians
14:21. When you pray in tongues your spirit is refreshed and energized.
H. HOLY SPIRIT
PRAYS FOR YOU, WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PRAY:
Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
The Amplified Bible
says they cannot be uttered in a language that we know.
Romans 8:27-28 “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of Yahuwah. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love Yahuwah, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
The Holy Spirit knows exactly what we or others need, and prays according to our needs and Yahuwah’s will. He will search your heart for the things that need to be interceded for and give you the words in another language (so your own thoughts do not get in the way) and enable you to pray about them directly from your spirit to Yahuwah’s Spirit. When we pray this way, all things will work together for good in our lives. Too many people quote the last part of this Scripture without quoting the first part about praying in the Holy Ghost. They go together.
You may have inner hurts that you do not know are there. If someone hurt you long ago and you have forgotten it, it may be festering in your subconscious mind and causing you anger and resentment toward others and you do not even know why you feel angry. Sometimes a child is abused and forgets the abuse because it is too much for him to handle. If a daughter is molested by her father and forgets it, she may, as an adult, feel angry with her husband, be afraid of men, be seductive, hate men, or a host of other things, and not know why. She may just have trouble relaxing and enjoying sex with her husband. A boy who was abused by his mother or father may forget the incidents, but grow up to be a homosexual because he hates women or craves attention from men. Or he may be violent, afraid to be open with his wife, etc. The Holy Spirit can heal these hurts without ever bringing the incident to memory if that is what Yahuwah wants to do. Or, He can cause him to remember the abuse, and then heal through the memory. When you pray in tongues the Holy Spirit takes control and heals and strengthens in the way which is best for you.
Once a friend was sitting reading a magazine at eleven o’clock in the morning, and Yahuwah told him to pray for a man he knew named Jeff. He prayed in tongues for a few minutes and then went back to his magazine. Yahuwah told him again to pray for Jeff. Again, he prayed for a few minutes and stopped. When Yahuwah told him a third time, he put down the magazine and prayed for a long time in tongues. He had no idea what he was praying about because he did not have the interpretation of the tongues he was speaking. It did not matter. People do not have to know what they are saying because they can trust the Holy Spirit.
Later that afternoon he found out Jeff was in grave danger at eleven o’clock. Two other Christian men were also praying for him at that same time. They all went to him and asked what was going on at eleven, because the Lord had told them all to pray for him. This is what happened. Years before, this man was lifting weights and had an aneurysm in his brain. The doctor told him not to ever strain himself again or the aneurysm could break and it would kill him. At eleven o’clock on the day the three men prayed, he was in an art class stretching a canvas over a frame, and had to strain really hard to stretch it far enough. He felt a terrible fiery burst of pain in his head, but instantly felt a warmth wash over the pain and flood his body. If the men would not have prayed he probably would have died of the aneurysm, but the Lord healed him.
I had grown up in a home with an alcoholic father who was never able to express love to his daughters. He did not hug me or tell me he loved me when I was a child. (When he was a young boy his father brutally abused him and his mother was a ‘loose woman’, so he grew up without love too.) Because he was drunk so often, I grew up without the kind of father I really needed. This had a strong affect on me when I became older. I craved attention from men and sought it in the wrong ways instead of seeking Yahuwah to fulfill my needs. I had much emptiness and pain in my heart because of this need not being met.
My father died of cirrhosis of the liver. While in the hospital I was able to pray a ‘sinners’ prayer with him and he received Yahushuwa as his Savior. He died the next day.
Several years later, my former husband was sitting in the living room praying in tongues while I was sitting on the bed in the other room. He did not know what he was praying for. I felt someone put their arms around me and hold me. There was no one in the room with me. Yet it felt as real as if someone were there. It may have been an angel, or the Holy Spirit, or Yahushuwa. I do not know. I had not been thinking about my father, but I heard the Holy Spirit say something like this to me: “This is what your father would say to you. ‘I’m sorry I never loved you the way you needed to be loved. I would have if I could. I just couldn’t. I didn’t know how. But I want you to know that I love you.”
I sat there embraced in those loving arms, and sobbed for a long time. This healed me of all the pain I felt from my dad never hugging me or telling me he loved me. There is no way my husband would have known in his mind to pray for that to happen to me, and no way he could have made the supernatural occurrence happen. Yahuwah knew what I needed and He gave him the words which could not be uttered so he could pray for my healing.
There have been many
other incidents of people suddenly feeling the urge to pray for someone,
praying in tongues, and finding out the person came very close to getting
killed in an accident and was spared. If you pray in tongues every day you give
Yahuwah this opportunity to work in your own life and in the lives of your
family, friends and even strangers, to heal and deliver them. Please do not
pass up this opportunity. I am glad my husband did not pass it up, and I am
sure Jeff is glad also!
I. YOU SPEAK
EITHER DIRECTLY TO GOD OR DIRECTLY FROM GOD WHEN YOU SPEAK IN
TONGUES:
1 Corinthians 14:2 “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto Yahuwah: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”
The Holy Spirit
speaks directly to Yahuwah who is a Spirit. You do not have to get through to
Yahuwah by way of your mind which often comes up with the wrong answers, or by
your thoughts, which often think the wrong things. Your spirit is in direct
communication with Yahuwah.
J. HELPS YOU SPEAK
WITH BOLDNESS:
Acts 4:31 “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of Yahuwah with boldness.”
Many people who were
shy before they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, became bold as lions
afterwards, yet still have sweet gentle spirits. They are bold as they stand
against the adversary and as they speak Yahuwah’s promises for their lives and
the lives of others.
K. BRINGS PEOPLE
IN AGREEMENT WITH GOD:
Acts 4:32 “And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.”
There are many disagreements among believers. They disagree about how to be baptized, how to worship Yahuwah, whether to speak in tongues, what is right and wrong, what is necessary for salvation, etc. Churches have divided because of these differences and that is why we have so many denominations. Many times the denominations argue and fight among themselves as well, over doctrinal issues! Some denominations believe they are the only ones going to Heaven. They are wrong! Those who believe on the Messiah Yahushuwa as their personal Savior and confess Him with their mouth, and live according to His instructions after they get born-again, will go to Heaven.
When we are controlled by the Holy Spirit, we are of one heart and mind like we are supposed to be. Yahuwah did not write the Bible with the intention of everyone interpreting it in the way they feel comfortable interpreting it, and people fighting and dividing because of that. We are supposed to be in unity with fellow believers in Yahushuwa.
Ephesians 4:11-16 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Yahushuwa: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of Yahuwah, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Yahushuwa: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Yahushuwa: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
In the Living Bible (with the Hebrew names added back in), verse 13 says: “until finally we all believe alike about our salvation and about our Savior, Yahuwah’s Son, and all become full-grown in Yahushuwa - yes, to the point of being filled full with Yahushuwa.”
There is a false doctrine going around and deceiving many. It teaches that people can believe in anything or anyone they want to and still be alright with Yahuwah. This is a lie that is not taught in the Bible. There is only ONE path to Yahuwah, and that is through Yahushuwa the Messiah, His Son.
BAPTISM
IN THE HOLY SPIRIT MISCONCEPTIONS
A. IT IS OF THE DEVIL:
Some denominations teach their congregations that speaking in tongues comes from the devil. The Bible does not support this lie of satan anywhere. The reason this belief exists is that the devil knows that believers have more power to defeat him when they pray in tongues, and this scares him to pieces! So he has convinced thousands of well-intentioned believers that they are the ones who should be afraid of tongues because it comes from him and not Yahuwah.
There are people in the occult who talk in ‘other tongues’ which come from the power of the devil, because he has made sure to come up with a perversion of tongues just like he does everything else that is of Yahuwah. But the Bible says if you ask Yahuwah for the Holy Spirit, He will not give you a devil! If you are a believer in right relationship with Yahuwah, and you ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, that is what you will get.
Luke 11:9-13 says:
“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
The devil cannot
sneak in and overpower Yahuwah, giving you tongues of the devil, when you ask
for tongues of the Holy Spirit!
1 John 4:4 “Ye are of Yahuwah, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
The Holy Spirit in us
is greater than the devil in the world. Also, Paul was not submitted to or
controlled by the devil when he said “I thank Yahuwah, I speak with tongues
more than ye all” in 1 Corinthians 14:18. Speaking in tongues is a gift
from Yahuwah, not the devil!
B. IT IS NOT FOR US TODAY:
Some denominations believe tongues were only for the days in Acts, and are not needed in present days. Speaking in tongues is a sign and wonder.
Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Acts 2:8-20 “And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of Yahuwah. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith Yahuwah, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of Yahuwah come.”
These signs and
wonders are for those who believe, whether they lived in the Bible days
or the last days. We are still living in the last days. The sun has not been
turned into darkness yet, the moon has not turned blood red, and the notable
day of Yahuwah has not come yet. The last days are not over, and yet they have
definitely begun. Tongues are part of these last days.
C. TONGUES IS NOT FOR EVERYONE:
Some teach that
tongues is a gift given only to certain people whom Yahuwah chooses. The
Scriptures they use to support this are:
1 Corinthians 12:7-12 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Yahushuwa.”
1 Corinthians 12:27-31 “Now ye are the body of Yahushuwa, and members in particular. And Yahuwah hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.”
The act of speaking a message from Yahuwah to the congregation, in tongues or prophecy, is a gift that not all have. It is given by the Holy Spirit to whom Yahuwah chooses. Not everyone is able to give a message from Yahuwah. We cannot turn Yahuwah on and off like a television. When He has a message to give He picks someone to speak through. Then that person can choose to speak or keep quiet. Not everyone can interpret these messages from Yahuwah either. That is why one should make sure an interpreter is present.
The act of praying to
Yahuwah in tongues is something anyone can do if they receive the Holy
Spirit baptism. Always in the Bible it is the initial evidence of the Baptism
of the Holy Spirit. That is how you know you have the baptism. You can start or
stop the prayer language whenever you want to and you can ask for
interpretation if you want to. However, you cannot choose what language you
speak in. Yahuwah gives you the language as He wills. It may be a heavenly
language and not an earthly language. 1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak
with the tongues of men and of angels,….”
D. I DO NOT NEED
IT TO HAVE MORE POWER:
Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
The Bible says you
will receive power. Are you going to believe the Bible or man? If the Bible
says it then it is true. This power manifests in enabling you to pray the
perfect prayer for someone so they are protected, healed or ministered to. It
enables you to minister more boldly and powerfully than you normally would. It
builds you up in your spirit.
E. IT IS JUST NOT
FOR ME:
The Holy Ghost is for those who believe. Are you a believer in Yahushuwa (a Christian)? If you are, then it IS for you. It is for EVERY believer, to help them win their battles. Do not deprive yourself of this gift because of someone else’s false doctrine! You will be glad you have it. 1 Corinthians 14:5 “I would that ye all spake with tongues....”
F. I CANNOT SPEAK IN TONGUES BECAUSE MY CHURCH FORBIDS IT:
Then find another church. Stop listening to false teaching, and believe the Word of Yahuwah. Nowhere does Yahuwah’s Word say it should be forbidden. In fact, here is a verse which forbids people to forbid it!
1 Corinthians 14:37-40 “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.”
One of the things he writes is to forbid not to speak with tongues, and this is a commandment of Yahuwah! Are you going to listen to Yahuwah or to man? If your leadership forbids speaking in tongues then your leadership is disobeying the commandments of Yahuwah!
G. I WILL NOT
BECAUSE IT SCARES ME:
2 Timothy 1:7 says “For Yahuwah hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
This fear of Yahuwah’s gift does not come from Yahuwah. Yahuwah gives you a Spirit of power:
Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you....”
Yahuwah gives you a Spirit of love:
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
Yahuwah gives you a sound mind:
1 Corinthians 2:16 “For who hath known the mind of Yahuwah, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Yahushuwa.”
Yahushuwa has a sound mind,
and we have the mind of Yahushuwa.
Acts 9:31 “Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of Yahuwah, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.”
We are to fear
(respect) Yahuwah, and find comfort in the Holy Ghost. It is the
devil who brings fear of the Holy Ghost, because HE is so afraid of Him!
H. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT. IF HE WANTS ME TO HAVE IT HE WILL GIVE IT TO ME:
Because of the following Scripture some people believe they have to wait until Yahuwah just pours it down on them and forces them to speak in tongues:
Acts 1:4-5 “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence”
These people who wait
for Yahuwah to just dump it on them one day will probably never get it, because
Yahuwah will probably never do that. The ‘wait’ was only for the initial
outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the day of Pentecost. In Luke 11 it says you
will receive it if you ask for it. You do not have to wait, but you do need
to ask and receive.
I. BUT I AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM WHEN I GOT BAPTIZED IN WATER:
These are two
different baptisms. You do not automatically get one when you get the other.
People who received the Holy Spirit had not even been baptized in water yet in
many instances.
Acts 10:46-48 “For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify Yahuwah. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Yahushuwa. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
When Yahushuwa got
baptized in water He received the Holy Spirit, but his was a unique situation,
because it was the mark of the beginning of His ministry. Yahuwah anointed Him
then to begin ministry. The Holy Spirit did not come to Him only to give him
tongues. In Acts 2:38 the Holy Ghost comes after water baptism.
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the
Name of Yahushuwa the Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost.” In Acts 8:12-20 people were baptized in
water but did not get the Holy Ghost until they were prayed for to receive it:
“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of Yahuwah, and the Name of Yahushuwa the Messiah, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the Word of Yahuwah, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of Messiah Yahushuwa.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of Yahuwah may be purchased with money.”
These two baptisms do
not automatically go together. The reason Simon knew they received the Holy
Spirit was because he heard them speaking in tongues.
HOW
TO GET THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES
2 Timothy 1:6 “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of Yahuwah, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” You can get this gift of Yahuwah by having a minister or Spirit-filled believers put their hands on you and pray for this.
Acts 19:5-6 “When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Messiah Yahushuwa. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.”
Or you can simply ask
Him for it on your own, like I did while driving my car on the highway.
Luke 11:9-11 “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
You must want and
seek it, ask for it, and apply action (knock). In other words, open your mouth
and speak. Refuse to speak your native language. Words will begin to form
either in your belly, throat, tongue or mind. It most commonly comes from the
belly.
John 7:37-39 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Yahushuwa stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Yahushuwa was not yet glorified.)”
He was talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and he said this before the day of Pentecost had come. With some people, they think they are imagining words in their minds, and they refuse to speak them because they sound silly. They think it is not really Yahuwah because they do not seem to be bubbling up out of their bellies. The devil tries to convince them that they are just making the words up themselves and tells them not to speak them aloud. If this happens to you just speak out those words anyway. It is tongues and the more you speak them the smoother they will flow, and the more fluent of a language you will get.
At first some speak only a few words repeatedly. This prayer language increases with time if you have renounced all previous occult activities and do not participate in them any more. Others begin with a fluent language. Some feel the power of Yahuwah all over them. With some, the power is so strong they fall over. In 2 Chronicles 5:14 the priests could not stand because Yahuwah’s presence was too strong. “So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of Yahuwah had filled the house of Yahuwah.”
Others do not feel a thing, but they can speak in tongues. Some laugh, dance and leap for joy, because they are so overwhelmed by the awesome power of Yahuwah they feel. Others weep.
Do not think you have to be like someone else. Let Yahuwah baptize you in the way He chooses! You can pray the following prayer to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Then begin speaking, and do not allow yourself to speak your native language or any language that you already know. This is an act of faith when you begin speaking words which at first seems like gibberish. It is not gibberish. A former friend has had people come up to him and tell him he was speaking in a foreign language that they understood, because they had studied those languages. He had five different languages recognized when he spoke in tongues. Some of them were French, Hebrew and Armenian. He had not learned those languages in school. He supernaturally spoke them, and the people said he spoke them prefectly. Other times we speak with the tongues of angels (a language that only spiritual beings understand rather than a human language).
1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (love), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”
YAHUSHUWA, I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR, AND NOW I WANT YOU TO FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT. PLEASE BAPTIZE ME, YAHUSHUWA, IN THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES. I RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST NOW, AND I THANK YOU FOR IT.
Now begin to speak the words which come to you. Do not sit there and be silent. You have to speak and Yahuwah will bless your obedience and faith, and give you the language. Pray in tongues every day to strengthen your spirit and help you overcome any works of the enemy!
If for some reason the words do not seem to form in your mind or your belly do not give up. Renounce any and all occult and cult activities you have ever participated in and this usually stops the hindrance to receive the Holy Spirit.
Occult and cult activities include horoscopes, Ouija boards, palm reading, trick or treating, celebrating Halloween, witchcraft, incantations, occult games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering, fortune telling, water witching, seances, clairvoyance, ESP, Kabala, Magic 8 ball, Voodoo, horror movies, hypnosis, Concept Therapy, Unitarianism, Christian Science, Jehovah Witness, Theophany, Mormonism, Rosicrucian, Masonry, Bahai, Jeanne Dixon, Edgar Cayce, Arthur Ford, Yoga, flying saucer experiences, ventriloquism, spirit healing, consulting a medium, magick, charming away warts, psychokinesis, levitation (including "light as a feather, stiff as a board"), automatic writing, charms and talismans, fetishes, reading or owning books on the occult (including "Goosebumps" and AHarry Potter@ books), occult movies, satanism, drugs (LSD), occult artifacts and jewelry, sexual union with someone who's not presently your spouse or with a spouse involved in the occult (produces soul ties), transcendental meditation, rock music, acupuncture, I Ching, and many more things that glorify the devil's ways.
Participation in these things brings
oppression and opens the door for demonic influence and attacks. The Bible
forbids these practices. Leviticus 19:31 NKJV AGive no regard to
mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am
Yahuwah your God.@ They defile us.
Deuteronomy 18:9 NKJV says:
AWhen you come into
the land which Yahuwah your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow
the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone
who makes his son or his or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who
practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a
sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who
calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the lord,
and because of these abominations Yahuwah your God drives them out from before
you. You shall be blameless before Yahuwah your God.@
There are many books on the occult and cults written by Christians who explain why these things are dangerous. Any religion that denies Yahushuwah is the Son of Yahuwah or plays with the power of the devil is something to stay away from.
Make a list of any you remember being involved in and pray for Yahuwah to forgive you for these things and for anything else that you do not know about or have forgotten, and say AI renounce all occult activities and take back any grounds that I gave to the devil to affect my life by doing them, in Yahushuwa’s Name@. Occult activities open doors for attacks by the enemy, and can hinder you from receiving the Holy Spirit, but renouncing them frees you to receive. It is wise to do this even if you have no difficulty receiving the Holy Spirit because they may have opened the door for various kinds of hindrances in your life. Even if you just >played= with horoscopes and the other things for >fun= you have still put yourself in danger so it is best to renounce them. And even though when you get born-again you are forgiven for all sins of the past, sometimes hindrances from activities of the past cling to you until you actually renounce them.
A minister I knew said several people he met who couldn’t receive the tongues language, and who had been prayed for by famous ministers with no results, went ahead and renounced the activities I mentioned above, and suddenly got filled with the Holy Ghost and started excitedly speaking in other tongues without any hesitation.
9: RECEIVE FROM YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER
People get so caught up in giving to Yahuwah, ministering for Him, worshiping Him and asking Him for things or telling Him things, that often they do not take time to receive from Him. He created you as an object of His love and He wants to give His love to you. All of these other things are great, but do not deprive your Heavenly Father the pleasure of Ministering to and loving on you! He wants to do this. Give Him a minimum of five minutes a day, but please give Him much more time than that. Just sit back, maybe with some soft worship music playing, and ask Him to come and love on you. Do not pray during this time and do not praise and worship Him. Just be quiet, listen and receive.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be Yahuwah, even the Father of our Lord Yahushuwa the Messiah, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of Yahuwah.”
When you receive comfort and love from Yahuwah, then you can turn around and give comfort and love to someone else. Besides, you are worth so much to Yahuwah that He wants to spend time ministering to you, because He loves you. Love yourself enough to let Him give you His love and time. Galatians 5:14 “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” This verse requires you to love yourself.
10:
LIVE BY THE WORD OF GOD (THE BIBLE)
Joshua 1:8-9 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for Yahuwah thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Do you want Yahuwah to be with you wherever you go? Do you want to be successful in whatever you do? Then live according to the Word of Yahuwah. It is powerful: Proverbs 30:5 “Every Word of Yahuwah is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Yahuwah’s Word is a sword and a shield. This is armor! His Word fights for you and protects you from those who fight against you! His Word heals and delivers you: Psalms 107:20 “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” In 1 Kings 13, a man of Yahuwah disobeyed Yahuwah’s Word and was eaten by a lion. If he would have obeyed Yahuwah, that calamity would not have come upon him. Yahushuwa wants us to obey Him for our own good and well-being.
Luke 4:4 “And Yahushuwa answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of Yahuwah.” Always live by His Word. You need it to sustain your spiritual body as you need food to sustain your physical body.
Luke 8:21 “And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the Word of Yahuwah, and do it.”
Luke 11:28 “But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the Word of Yahuwah, and keep it.”
1 John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
Do not live for your own desires if they go against Yahuwah’s Word, but instead live by every Word of Yahuwah and you will have a better life.
Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
When people gather together to worship Yahuwah, He is there too. Find a full-gospel church where his presence can be felt every week. Attend a church that preaches the Word of Yahuwah, prays for the sick with authority, commands demons and illness to leave in Yahushuwa's name, teaches the congregation how to be ministers, believes in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, worships Yahuwah with the help of anointed worship leaders and wins souls to the lost. Go to church to minister to others and to have others minister to you, and to hear the Word of Yahuwah preached. Ask Yahuwah to lead you to the right kind of church for you. Just make sure you stay out of churches that are cults or of the occult!
Some churches or religious groups that are cults (they pervert the deity of Yahushuwa or the doctrine of salvation) or occult are:
Baha’ism, Christian Science or Religious Science, Conceptology (Concept Therapy), Erhard Seminars Training, Freemasons and Secret Societies, Hinduism, Inner Peace Movement, Islamic religion, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), Muslims, National Council and World Council of Churches, New Thought, Rosicrucianism, Roy Masters: Foundation of Human Understanding, satanism, Scientology, Seventh Day Adventism, Silva Mind Control, Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship, Spiritualism, Swedenborgianism, The ‘I AM’ Ascended Masters, The Church of the Living Word, The Children of God (The Family of Love), The Way International, Theosophical Society, Unitarianism, Unity School of Christianity, Universalism and Ultimate Reconciliation, Voodoo, Wicca, Witchcraft, Zen Buddhism.
Find yourself a congregation that honors the 7th day Sabbath, Yahuwah’s feast days, the Biblical dietary laws, and does not honor the man-made holidays like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. I don’t recommend the 7th Day Adventists because they celebrate the pagan holidays of Christmas and Easter and do not celebrate Yahuwah’s feast days, and they don’t use His real names.
And even though many of the mainstream churches are not cults or occult, most teach that we don't need to keep the Sabbath and feast days, etc., and so I cannot recommend them either (Amish, Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Church of Christ, Church of God (not the 7th day type), Congregational, Episcopal Church, Holiness Church, Lutheran, Mennonite, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc.
I recommend a Messianic congregation or home group meeting. These groups are also called Torah Observant groups. You can do searches on the Internet for a congregation in your area. Pray for Yahuwah to help you find the right one for you, because they are not plentiful. Hopefully there will be one in your area that also practices speaking in tongues, praying for the sick and seeing them get well, casting out demons, worshiping Yahuwah in the song service- a group that is alive and not spiritually dead. The group you attend should meet your needs, and also encourage you to get involved and help meet others’ needs. Ministry is not just for the clergy. We are all ministers. You should be able to pray for the other members of the group.
Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another to provoke
unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of
ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
When people gather together to worship
Yahuwah, He is there too. Do not be afraid if people in your congregation raise
their hands, dance, clap, shout, and play tambourines. This is a good thing. We
should love Yahuwah with all of our being, our spirit, soul, and body. We love
Him in spirit by having fellowship with Him, worshiping Him, praying in
tongues, etc. We love Him is the soulilsh realm by loving Him with our
emotions. It is easy to fall in love with Yahushuwa when you get a hold of the
love He has for you. We love and worship Him with our body by eating right,
acting right, refraining from sexual sin, telling Him how we feel about him,
lifting our hands in praise, dancing, clapping, etc. All of these things are in
the Bible.
People who dance,
laugh and shout in a worship service are not weird, they are not >holy rollers=. They are excited
about what Yahuwah has done for them. They are expressing their feelings with
their bodies. When people shout and jump up at a ball-game when their team is
winning, others do not call them weird. Yahuwah=s team is winning
because we have victory over the devil through Yahushuwa our Messiah. It is
good to meet with people who get excited about Yahushuwa. But if they are
falling on the ground and thrashing about like snakes, or jerking all over the
place, that is probably not Yahuwah’s Spirit on them and you should not remain
with them.
Do not get involved
with any church that practices or believes in communicating with the dead,
reincarnation, asks you to sign over your possessions to them, teaches that
Yahushuwa is not really Yahuwah who came to earth in the flesh, claims to be >Spiritualist=, or practices
meditation like the Eastern religions do. These will lead you the wrong way! It
will do us only good when we set out to seek Yahuwah with all our hearts
and live for Him.
12:
GO AND SIN NO MORE (learn to live by His instructions in His law)
Instead of sinning, follow in Yahushuwa’s footsteps. He is your shepherd who will lead you. When necessary, He will carry you. Let Him take care of you. Trust Him. He will give you the strength to stop sinning.
1 Peter 4:11b (NIV) “If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength Yahuwah provides, so that in all things Yahuwah may be praised through Yahushuwa Messiah. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.”
Yahuwah will provide you with the strength you need to serve Him, rather than yourself or the devil. Yahushuwa told the woman who was caught in adultery to go and sin no more, in John 8:11. In John 5, a man who had been bed ridden for thirty-eight years came to Yahushuwa and He healed him. Then He said in John 5:14 “....Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”
Hebrews 10:26-27 says: “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
You must refuse to participate in any more occult or sinful activities from this day forward. If you open those doors back up, you will be even worse off than you were before. But do not lose hope if that happens. Just repent again, and ask for someone (of the same gender) in your church to make you accountable to them and help you make the right choices from then on. If you know someone is going to confront you when you sin, then you will be motivated to refuse to sin!
The devil looks for
open doors: 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be
Matthew 12:43-45 “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”
When you are cleaned out of all the effects of the occult and of sin it is important to fill that empty place with the Holy Spirit. If you are full of the Holy Spirit a demon will not want to enter you and reside with Yahuwah’s Spirit! You will be protected like Daniel was in the Lions’ den. Yahuwah had angels hold the lions’ mouths shut.
Yahuwah will stop the devil from devouring you. You body is meant to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Do not let it be a temple of demons. Proverbs 28:13 “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Stop sinning and live right. It is not a burden to live like this. Loving Yahuwah is obeying Yahuwah. It is not hard to obey Him when you love Him! 1 John 5:3-5 (NIV) says:
“This is love for Yahuwah: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of Yahuwah overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that He is the Son of Yahuwah.”
We are to have the attitude of Yahushuwa and be willing to sacrifice or give up what Yahuwah wants us to. 1 Peter 4:1-5 (NIV) says:
“Therefore, since Yahushuwa suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of Yahuwah. For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do - living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”
The next verse tells
us what kind of people Yahuwah wants us to be.
2 Peter 3:10-12a (NIV) "But the day of Yahuwah will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of Yahuwah and speed its coming....”
He wants us to live holy and godly lives, and this can even help speed His return. Not many people will do this. Look at what the next two verses say.
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Revelation 22:14-15 “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”
Luke 13:23-28 “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of Yahuwah, and you yourselves thrust out.”
Matthew 7:18-23 “A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Many people do not like to hear those Scriptures. If someone talks about them, they accuse that person of being legalistic, but those verses are part of the Bible, and they are true. Many people believe they live in the presence of Yahuwah but they really do not. People who live in sin are workers of iniquity, and Yahuwah does not know them. He will not open the narrow gates of Heaven to them. Choose to be one of the few who enters at the strait gate which leads to life. Refuse to live in sin!
13: MINISTER TO OTHERS
Comfort others with the comfort Yahuwah gives you. Teach them how to live in victory. Help others get set free.
Isaiah 61:1-3 says “The spirit of Yahuwah GOD is upon me; because Yahuwah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of Yahuwah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahuwah, that he might be glorified.”
John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
When we minister to others we often will receive ministry ourselves, and will be strengthened by the miracles we see. Also, it helps keep us busy, and we are not as tempted to turn back to the evil things we gave up.
Romans 10:15 “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
Yahuwah’s Word tells us to help other Christians when they stumble or fall, and to lead the unsaved to Yahushuwa.
14: DO WHAT YOU CAN TO CLEAN UP YOUR COMMUNITY AND TO EXPOSE THE DEVIL’S TACTICS
1. FIRST PRAY. Ask Yahuwah to give you wisdom on how to approach different people and organizations. When you pray, Yahuwah will give you creative ideas to do what you need to do. Ask Him to prepare their hearts in advance to be willing to help you. Yahuwah will give you favor with the appropriate people by sending His Holy Spirit or angels ahead of you to prepare their hearts and minds for your encounter with them. He can even make your enemies be at peace with you. Bind all the devil’s forces in Yahushuwa’s name and command them to stay out of your way. Ask Yahuwah to bring in the funds that you need to carry out His plan and He will often cause money to come in from unexpected sources. Ask Him for the anointing and power to carry out the plans. Pray in tongues for all the aspects you do not know how to pray for. Yahuwah moves when people pray. James 4:2 says you have not because you ask not. Yahuwah does not seem to move if people do not pray!
2. MAKE SURE YOUR OWN LIFE IS CLEANSED. If you are still fooling around in occult activities you will look pretty foolish trying to clean up your community of these things which bring rotten fruit. Luke 6:43 “For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” Make sure you have cleaned out the corruption from your garden so you show good fruit in your own life. If you let your children wear occult jewelry and buy Goosebumps books, you will look foolish when you ask the stores to remove the Jack-o-lanterns and Halloween witches. If you are dressing in sexually stimulating clothing people will call you a hypocrite when you tell them to take the seductive magazines off their shelves.
Matthew 7:2-5 “For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
If you walk around cursing and swearing your efforts to get others to repent and change will be of no effect.
James 1:26 “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
Ephesians 5:3-4 “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.”
Charles Finney said: “Every Christian makes an impression by his conduct, and witnesses either for one side or the other. His looks, dress, whole demeanor, make a constant impression on one side or the other. He cannot help testifying for or against religion. He is either gathering with Yahushuwa, or scattering abroad. At every step you tread on chords that will vibrate to all eternity. Every time you move, you touch keys whose sound will re-echo all over the hills and dales of heaven, and through all the dark caverns and vaults of hell. Every movement of your lives, you are exerting a tremendous influence that will tell on the immortal interests of souls all around you.”120
We are putting out an image to people and showing them what we stand for with our actions and lifestyles. 1 Corinthians 9:14 “Even so hath Yahuwah ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.” In other words, practice what you preach!
3. GIVE YOUR PASTOR A LINK TO THIS BOOK/BLOG and ask him to read it. Ask him to send it to his congregation members so they can use it.
4. ASK YOUR PASTOR TO TEACH on why people should not celebrate Halloween or participate in other occult or inappropriate activities. Or use the information in this book and offer to teach classes yourself to inform your congregation about the effects of participating in these activities.
5. WRITE TO THE LOCAL STORES and ask them to either stop selling the evil Halloween merchandise or to put it all in one corner of the store so your children do not have to be frightened by the evil looking things, and so the shoppers do not have to be exposed to all of it every time they go shopping. Have all of your church members sign the letter and even write their own letters, so the stores will know there are MANY people wanting this change, and not just one ‘fanatic’! Ask other pastors if you can get their members to sign it also. Store managers who do not want to lose customers may pay more attention if you do this.
Also write the stores and tell them to stop stocking their magazine racks with sexually suggestive pictures of women. You can do this any time of the year. Let them know that all of you are willing to shop at another store if they do not take care of the problem in their store, because there are stores that will comply with the customers’ requests.
When you are successful with the first two missions, you may want to ask them to take the Goosebumps books off the shelves, and the demon toys out of the toy isles.
Then go after the
topless nightclubs, adult bookstores, etc!
Remember to get as many other church members to help you as you can. You will probably not be successful if you try to do it by yourself. Try to get thousands. Let the stores know they may lose MANY customers, not just one. Pray first, and then do whatever Yahuwah leads you to do! He may lead you to write letters, make phone calls, picket, etc.
Put a stop to stores profiting from the devil’s devices. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Help to uproot the evil in your community.
7. WRITE TO YOUR SCHOOLS and have the congregation sign the letters, telling them to remove the Goosebumps and other similar books, and any textbooks which are occult or teach witchcraft. Do not let your child sit under their sex education without you being present. It is better to teach them at home, but it would also be good to be there at the school to find out what they are telling the kids so you can get the church members together, if necessary, to change their sex education curriculum.
Find out what the schools are teaching. Are they pushing occult practices on any students? Courses like Mysticism, Literature of the Supernatural or Mind Control are occult. Go to the school boards with information about them teaching occult practices. Satanism and witchcraft are religions and are not allowed in public schools because of the laws about separating church and state. They managed to kick prayer out of the public schools and teachings about Yahushuwa or creation, so make them kick teachings on occult religions out of the schools too. Approach the subject of celebrating Halloween in public school as a religious practice. Paganism is a religion. Better yet, get your kids out of the public schools and either homeschool them yourself, or send them to a homeschool where someone else teaches your kids.
Be bold and persistent. What you do not accomplish this year carry over to next year and get friends to help you. Educate your friends so they know why they need to help you. Tell the newspapers, television and radio stations what your schools are teaching. Do not keep information confidential. Tell everyone who shares your values.
8. PICKET, if necessary, the places that refuse to clean up their acts. Picket stores that sell occult items or books, or Halloween merchandise, and stores that refuse to keep magazines with sexually suggestive pictures off their shelves. Picket movie houses that offer occult, extremely violent or sexually stimulating movies or cartoons. (Most theaters do.) Inform the news media about the picket and tell them why you are picketing.
9. WRITE TO LOCAL CONGRESSMEN, SENATORS, STATE LEGISLATORS AND LOCAL NEWSPAPERS. Congressmen read their mail and often will act on the information they read. Ask the newspapers to print your views. They are quick to write stories about Halloween from the Wiccans’ point of view. Ask them for equal time and have them publish the born-again believers' point of view. Let your letters be no more than two or three-hundred words. The letters to the editor section in the daily paper are read by many people.
10. CALL RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS and ask them to interview a born-again believer whom you know understands the real dangers of Halloween and will tell people the truth about it like this book does. Be careful, because many Christians will get up there and tell people there is nothing wrong with celebrating it!
11. DO SOMETHING! James 1:25 “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” One person obviously cannot do all of the above, but you can do some of it. You can recruit others to do some more of it. You can get members of your church or group involved to do even more, and members of other neighborhood churches to help do something to clean up your community!
2 Timothy 2:2-5 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Yahushuwa the Messiah. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.”
Many do not think it will do any good to try to clean up the world, or even their own back yard, so they do nothing! 2 Timothy 3:1 says perilous times will come in these last days and goes on to tell how evil men will be. Prophecy is being fulfilled and perilous times are here, but it does not say to stand by and do nothing about it. The verses before it say the servant of Yahuwah should instruct those who oppose themselves so they will know the truth and repent. We are to turn away from those who love their pleasures more than Yahuwah. These are the people who refuse to know the truth. They will get worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. We cannot force these people to change, but we can stop many of their fruits from growing in our own back yards, stores, street corners, clinics, etc.
If Christians had not become so apathetic about the sin in our world it would not have gotten this bad. The Bible does say that bad things will happen in these latter days, but it never says that we cannot change them as they come.
1 John 4:4-6 (NIV) says: “You, dear children, are from Yahuwah and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from Yahuwah, and whoever knows Yahuwah listens to us, but whoever is not from Yahuwah does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.”
The unbelievers do not listen to us, yet we can overcome them because of the Holy Spirit who is in us. Many believers do not even try to overcome the wicked world. They lay down in defeat and let the wicked one trample right over them. Get up and stand your ground! Demand equal time! Tell people the truth! Do not join them in their evil ways.
We have sat back and let the devil run us over with his traffic for too long. It is time to stop letting him devour us and begin devouring him!
Ezekiel 28:18-19 “Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”
We should have insisted from the very beginning that these evil things not be allowed into our communities. If one woman shut down more than ten pornography places in New York City several years ago, what would have happened if all the Christians in the community had gotten together when the first one was opened? It would have been closed back down! Christians give up too easily. We should have insisted that the first sleazy Cosmopolitan magazine be removed from the grocery store and gas station shelves, but now look at what we have to deal with. We have about ten different magazines with scantily dressed women and/or soft-core pornography on the covers, sitting at the checkout isles and magazine racks at the stores. I realize that it is often someone else who sets the wicked thing before our eyes, but we should try and stop it whenever possible. Husbands and sons are tempted to lust regularly and the majority of Christians do not speak out against it.
In September and October our stores are full of evil witch dolls, Jack-o-lanterns, skulls, demon costumes and much more. Some things are even suspended from the ceiling to make the store itself look like a haunted house. When we go to buy a loaf of bread we are forced to walk through a haunted house type of atmosphere whether we want to or not! Most Christians do not say a word to the store managers and corporate companies to put a stop to this! This is apathy, and an apathetic Christian is lukewarm toward Yahuwah.
Revelation 3:15-16 “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
Yahuwah does not like Christians to be lukewarm! Christians who are on fire for Yahuwah love Him and all He stands for, and hate the devil and all he stands for! They love people and want to show them how to go to Heaven. They hate sin and do what they can to stop it at all ends. One end is where we witness to non-Christians and tell them how to become saved, or forgiven of their sins so they can have eternal life. The sin of unbelief is the worst sin there is. Unbelievers are destined to hell. The other end is where we clean up the works and results of sin to the best of our ability, with the help of Yahuwah, fellow Christians and much prayer. Sinful acts hurt and destroy people everyday. We need to make people aware of this and show them the way out. We should do what we can to remove temptation from among us. It comes from the devil. The Bible says Yahuwah can tempt no man. We are instructed in the Bible to hate the ungodly works of the flesh.
Jude 1:23 “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”
Psalms 101:2-3 “I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”
Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
We fight by standing up for what is right, speaking out against evil, praying without ceasing and taking our prayer answers by force. In other words, with our faith, boycotting, and other things that we can do as action that will help put a stop to the bad things (but not with physical violence). If believers everywhere would just concentrate on cleaning up their own communities, we would win many battles. If that one woman shut down all those pornography places, just think of what could happen if all the believers would get together in their communities and begin speaking up and taking action, writing letters, picketing, etc. Each community could be cleaned up to a great degree. If every believer would tell one person a day about Yahushuwa, or give away one tract a day, things would begin to change. If every believer would write a letter a week about a wrong in the community, such as the exploitation of women on the fronts of magazines at the stores or in the movies, or about the selling of evil Halloween merchandise throughout the month of October, or the selling of demonic toys in their toy stores and toy isles, about the violence, occult, and sexual suggestions in cartoons and movies, the occult games sold in the department stores, the demonic scare books written for and sold to children....we would see some changes. If each believer would write one letter a week praising someone who is doing something good, we would see changes for the better.
Changes like these happen slowly, but they happen when people speak out for what is right. Most believer are too apathetic to DO anything about the bad things that are going on. They remain silent. They hear the Word of Yahuwah but do not do it. In fact, many of them participate in the ungodly things. They buy the scare books, demonic toys, occult games, violent, sexual or demonic movies, evil Halloween costumes and artifacts, sleazy magazines, sleazy clothing for their children or themselves, etc. This is so sad! So many Christians are bringing demons into their homes by doing these things, and giving their stamp of approval by not speaking out against them.
I received a computer disk containing sample photographs of different things. There was a section with women dressed in slinky negligees and posed in sexual positions. They sent this to my husband. I was very angry, broke the disk in two and called the company. I happened to reach the man who put this CD together. I told him I did not appreciate him sending my husband soft-core pornography, and I did not want him to send us any more of their disks if this is what is on them. He said that they mailed out over a million of those disks, and I was the only one who complained! This did not make me feel like a fool. It embarrassed me that more Americans, especially Christians, did not complain about this!
I wrote the Fingerhut company and told them to take me off their mailing list because their catalog has models wearing see through lingerie and I didn't want my husband or children seeing those pictures.
There is a horrible evil atmosphere in the department stores in October with all the Halloween decorations they hang all over the store, and I bet just a handful, if that many, actually complain about it! We need to wake up and take out the trash! It is stinking really badly and we have been sitting on our couches getting used to the smell! It is drawing maggots, flies and rats! It is polluting our families! It belongs in the dump, not in our homes or our grocery and toy stores! Help others get informed and set free! Many people who really need to read this book will not go out and buy it, because they do not think they are doing anything wrong, and do not believe there is anything they need to be informed of. Get more copies of this book and give it to people you know who celebrate Halloween or participate in any of the other things talked about in this book, and ask them to read it. Give it to people who are lukewarm to inspire them to repent and get right with Yahuwah. Talk to them about Halloween and the occult and its effects on people, especially innocent children.
Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of Yahuwah is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of Yahuwah.”
We are all disciples and responsible for preaching the gospel and warning our brothers and sisters about things that could hurt them. When you put down this book, make a list of things you can do and get started, even if it just involves teaching your family, neighbors or local churches!
